She sounds traumatised going by that article. It might not be that she's speaking a different language it may be that she's not communicating with people much at all. She's drawn some pictures but that may be her limit for now

yes that's a possibility. it could be that no-one around her currently speaks her language though so she is using pictures to communicate.

I couldnt believe that child trafficking in Ireland earns an estimated 212 million a year but if 2 Dc have been found in 10 days then there must be an awful lot more hidden.

I'm guessing the teenage girl could be either very traumatised or doesnt have any form of language if she has only been used for one thing since a young age (total speculation on my part).

The Dublin girl could be old enough to be MM as they are guessing 7.

MM would be 10 would she not? although I suppose if badly nourished/treated could be small for age.

The Greek girl is now thought to be older than first thought, time will tell.

I don't think any info at all would have been released if there wad a chance she was MM. Remember she had a quite distinctive iris. If this girl doesn't have that then she's easy to rule out.

I agree thewoman. if they even slightly thought it was MM then they would have contacted the McCanns and done a DNA test straight away. then gone public.

The bedroom set up thing- One of the news reports actually showed all of the locals bringing over a haul of items to place in the bedroom- the pushchair that you can see was actually shown on the news being pushed by a young roma girl into the property.

I hope the families in which these blond kids have been found - if the dna supports they don't belong then all the children are dna tested. It's not just blond kids/white skinned that get abducted. I am absolutely horrified, it sounds like this child trafficking stuff is more common than many realised (eg. me!) I also hope people don't let child traffickers managed to keep other kids they have abducted by shouting racism.

I think that all the kids involved need to be taken into care. The little girl's growth was stunted by under feeding. There is no way that these people should be allowed to have a hamster yet alone a child. The birth kids needs to be removed asap.

I think that DNA testing is essential for all the children. It can sort out which children can be adopted immediately (the children who are gentically the couple's) which children need a search to find their true parents.

Being taken into care by the Greek state doesn't guarantee Roma children will be cared for. Look up Agia Varvara - over 500 Roma children disappeared from a care, probably to be trafficked greece.greekreporter.com/2013/08/29/agia-varvara-children-still-missing/

More likely any children who aren't lucky enough to be blonde haired and blue eyed would be sent to migrant detention camps until they can decide where to deport them to.

The reporters were then shown the bedroom.

I don't understand why more news channels/papers haven't reported it.

If she has been trafficked then the whole community needs investigating and potentially arresting as they allowed this girl to go unnoticed.

I don't believe they had her as a baby. Why dye her hair as a toddler and not now? To me it suggests an immediate need to hide her identity but not so much later.

The 'mother' looked brutal with the boy in that video. She also looked like she was forcing the girl to dance. It didn't look normal or like she was enjoying it. My 2 yo goes nuts dancing!

Can't believe there's now 2 girls been found in Dublin. Hopefully this will lead to fruitful investigations.

Possibly they want to keep the Roma onside to retain access for future reporting. Or they may have been threatened. The bbc reporter said they'd been threatened on the site and told to leave.

I just heard in the news tonight a blonde girl has been taken into care in Ireland. She was found living on a Roma Gypsy camp.

To the people who actually know what goes on in these situations this story is not news. The interest in it is like people rubbernecking a car accident. Really you should move along - there is nothing to see here.

The most likely story is as the people in the camp have reported themselves, they bought the child from or were handed the child by Bulgarian itinerant workers who couldn't afford her upkeep. People living on the edge are doing as they probably always have done, just another mouth to feed and a bit of income to be made.

Remember Greece is suffering at the moment and a heartwarming anti- Roma story can't hurt. This was one of the ways Hitler kept his people on side when Germany was suffering.

The video of the little girl dancing was horrible. She looked, tired confused and unhappy and that woman was just goading and badgering her on. It looked nothing like a toddler dancing for the fun of it.

It seems that Maria is not on the Interpol list of missing children. So nobody is looking for her. Poor child...

Well regardless of if she is a 'missing child' there is obviously a nature of 'taking in' or acquiring children going on that we need to put a stop to.
