Seems Uncle Sam can just hoover up data from Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, Youtube and the rest. US govt is busy reassuring Americans this 'only' applies to foreigners. Like us.

One boffin interviewed on Channel Four news said they may look for keywords like 'Iran' - so if you've ever commented on a thread about Iran, people working for that nice Mr Obama may have been watching...

As another poster said, people get put in jailed, blackmailed, lose their jobs etc etc.

Last year I read about a woman that had posted negative comments about her finance employer on her Facebook page. Comments like "a bunch of crooks" and "don't trust them with your money". A co-worker 'friend' passed this into HR and the woman was sacked.

Try telling this woman that she needs to worry about the NSA trawling though her FB postings.

But you dont like it. That is the point. Because guess what, being spied on is not very nice, dont you know?
But hey, if you like it, I can do this for a whole month more. after that, I may get a bit bored

You've gone to the bother of pulling up some posts by Habba using the 'search' button (you IT genius you) and this somehow is supposed to show how easy it is to be 'spied' on? There's a vast difference between having 'a lot' and having slightly too much. Perhaps you could go and work for MI5 or the US Govt. They would snap you and your jaw-dropping MN search skills up, I'm sure
