has totally lost the plot.

She has more mad ideas than any woman I have ever known.

Well, there's that as well. But I was really trying to answer monkeytrouser's comment about people not liking her "for absolutely no good reason". There is a very good reason why people don't like her, she comes across as not likeable. Simple really.

Plus, the bit about claiming not to know any Beatle songs. Hello??? Whether you like them or not, by osmosis, virtually everyone knows a Beatles song.

desperateSCOUSEwife · 27/03/2006 11:53

uwila you really think she is pretty
pretty ugly imo

Tinker · 27/03/2006 11:53

Um, and the opposite of being humourless doesn't mean being a comedian...

desperateSCOUSEwife · 27/03/2006 11:56

sorry tinker
monkeytrousers i theink Linda was reverred for her beliefs not slated

spidermama · 27/03/2006 11:57

The notion of gold digging hasn't even occured to me. It takes one to know one afaic.

Honestly why is it anyone else's business? Macca isn't your son so why do you care? He's a big boy and old enough to make his own decisions. Why is it always the woman's fault? Poor Paul - the vicitm of a woman who's after him for his money. She's younger than him, beautiful and she has given him another child fgs. I think it's Heather who gets a raw deal here becuase she has to listen to crap music. Grin

desperateSCOUSEwife · 27/03/2006 11:59

haha me a gold digger
not
I think she is bleedin ugly

monkeytrousers · 27/03/2006 12:00

baby cows don't get this milk Uwila

Callisto · 27/03/2006 12:00

I think Paul is equally dreadful - they deserve each other.

Caligula · 27/03/2006 12:02

Linda was absolutely not revered for her beliefs, until she got cancer. And then all those newspapers who'd been slagging her off for years and using exactly the same language about her as they now use about Heather, suddenly turned her into Saint Linda.

(sorry, can't do links)

I am reading this book atm as a set text for the course I am doing.

Its absolutely bloody fantastic and talks quite a bit about milk and hormones etc. which I think makes sense. You only have to look at the numbers of farmers whom are experiencing 'male menopause' - type symptoms to agree that hormones pumped into foods surely cannot be good. How can you disagree.

Am a vegetarian anyway but as a result of this book have tried very hard to switch me / my family to as much non - dairy or organic as possible.

I could talk all day about this subject but I won't bore you like I have been boring every person I have met recently about the topic.

But, personally, I want to give my children as long and healthy a life as I possibly can, and one that isn't riddled with illness / disease / cancer.

desperateSCOUSEwife · 27/03/2006 12:05

alot of people i know and i was one revered her before she got cancer
thought she was lovely

spidermama · 27/03/2006 12:05

Whatever Paul is he's certainly not a bumbling, innocent victim of a gold digger. He's a very astute man who has led a charmed life and made an enormous success of it. Sadly it seems whoever he marries incurs a staggering amount of wrath and scorn from other women. I really hate it when women behave like this toward other women.

Others who incur similar prejudice on here include ...

Gillian MacKeith
Sarah Jane from Tikabilla ffs!
Jordan

desperateSCOUSEwife · 27/03/2006 12:07

ooh i like gillian and jordan
think they are great
dont like heather though
never did pre mc cartney

Caligula · 27/03/2006 12:07

Oh Gillian McKeith deserves it. Now there's someone who talks crap. And says "POO" a lot, and expresses surprise that poo is smelly.

quanglewangle · 27/03/2006 12:08

Caligula, it wouldn't be necessary to overstate a point to hammer it home if we were all credited with a bit of intelligence and if the media didn't deliberately dramatise or demonise everything to get a good story. We get told scientists say this and scientists say that, but they have usually said nothing of the sort. Journalists report for effect and usually very badly. And it can have bad results. Remember the malnourished museli babies? If I remember correctly they didn't get enough essential fatty acids because of reports that all fat is bad.

And let's not knock pizza - it is not bad for you. It is the healthy equivalent of a cheese and tomato sandwich.

Caligula · 27/03/2006 12:08

Agree QW.

Enid · 27/03/2006 12:09

I neither like or dislike Heather Mills, but think it is idiotic and irresponsible to try and ban milk.

Like it or not it IS a good source of calcium, and to send out a message to impressionable mums that it is bad may mean the mums drop it and don't offer other, alternative forms of calcium rich foods

Uwila · 27/03/2006 12:58

Agree, Enid!

lunarx · 27/03/2006 13:03

coo-coo!!!

i respect anyone right to eat or not eat whatever they want.
but FFS, dont try and tell anyone else what they should/shouldnt eat/drink/whatever.

too bad that seal didnt bite her :p

spidermama · 27/03/2006 13:04

So by that ligic lunarx Jamie Oliver should be ashamed of himself no?

quanglewangle · 27/03/2006 13:09

No - Jamie Oliver was campaigning to tranform what school children were offered not what they actually ate. They could still choose to eat it or otherwise.

motherinferior · 27/03/2006 13:10

I agree too.

And frankly we all know that stuffing ourselves on dairy isn't a frightfully good option. You can't move for people who've given up dairy, or wheat, or something similar, these days. Frequently on very little basis whatsoever.

(If I had a fiver for everyone who asks me if my crap sinuses are linked to dairy - NO - or my IBS to wheat - NO, BUT IT'S LINKED TO OATS, GET THAT, EH - I'd be, well, not needing to finish the article I'm currently not writing.)

Nightynight · 27/03/2006 13:10

No, Enid!
I am very happy that HM has provoked the debate we're having now.
Cows milk is not the best source of calcium, and the sooner people get their heads around this, the better. There is goats milk and sheeps milk (more digestible), and vegan sources of calcium. People rely on cows milk because it is cheap, easy to buy, and because there is a sort of religious belief that Cows Milk Is Good For You.

It's the religious belief that needs challenging. Cows milk should be just one of a number of options, not the only option as it usually is seen at the moment.

motherinferior · 27/03/2006 13:11

Cutting out food without thinking about what you're going to replace it with isn't a frightfully good idea.

hunkermunker · 27/03/2006 13:12

Perhaps she's working for the Fright Shite people?
