Does anyone who live locally know what's going on? Have many of the travellers left? Will there be a horrible fight at 9am tomorrow?

Mankyminks .... you could "borrow" a 4x4 as others do .. after all, what is insurance for!!!!

cookcleanerchaufferetc · 28/09/2011 11:54

Just because someone does not like someone who breaks the law does not make them racist .....

mankyminks · 28/09/2011 11:54

They started it with that joke about making The Tower an Iconic Monument!! . Do apologise,am in a bit of a funny mood today, bit like giggling at a funeral, you know you shouldn't do,but sometimes you just can't help yourself. You've got to admit it's funny though, honestly a heap of scaffolding to be protected by English Heritage.......

mankyminks · 28/09/2011 11:58

Don't encourage me cookcleanerchauffeur or you will be send to sit right on the top of 20ft high naughty step Grin.
Ooooh,I might need a Cook a Cleaner and a Chauffeur!! Are you offering? O,go on it will be fun in a Thelma and Louise kind of way.

"Meanwhile, two Dale Farm protesters have been charged in connection with an incident at Basildon Council offices.

The men, aged 22 and 29, have both been charged with using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment alarm or distress"

I have to go into the Basildon Centre with my children occasionally. The housing "offices" are more like cubicles in the foyer which everyone wanting to use the library has to walk past. Lovely Hmm

Don't worry Winter. English Heritage has decided it's not an Iconic Monument after all. Well that took a long time to debate about didn't it. Wonder if there is going to be a appeal? Old habits an all that Grin

Well said Dale what a shame that this thread has turned into a thread to air paoples racist views.

The thought of you people actually having children makes you realise how we end up with such small minded ignorant adults having been bought up by mothers like these.....what an example to set. Perfect role models !!!

GypsyMoth · 29/09/2011 14:22

Well, to be fair, how are those by the gates, chaining themselves by the neck or setting themselves in concrete, role models?

cookcleanerchaufferetc · 29/09/2011 14:39

Manky - if this weather keeps up we should get a convertible instead ....

bubbles4 · 29/09/2011 16:39

Dalefarmdolly, just ignore their posts,I cant be bothered to read them, they remind me of something a five year old old would write

GypsyMoth · 29/09/2011 16:41

Like a five year old would write? Now, if we're going to be pulling people up on spelling and punctuation...

bubbles4 · 29/09/2011 16:58

Its not the spelling and punctuation I,m talking about, did you actually read some of the things that were posted yesterday,a complete load of drivel.

In response to "noriscoles" comment regarding Traveller girls not wanting to be educated to A level standard........my family are Travellers and I come from 5 girls, all of whom are educated to A level standard and one of which is a Barrister. How misinformed you are. In this day and age you really would expect a little more common sense from you "mothers".

utahforever · 29/09/2011 18:02

Congratulations on your qualifications.

Why are some Traveller girls pulled out of education at 11?

Is this something that is specific to the non-settled Travellers? or can the girls there continue their education if they want?

I don't know much about Traveller education and would like to know.

norriscoleforpm · 29/09/2011 21:48

Me too! I'd be fascinated to learn the statistics of traveller girls attaining post 11 educational qualifications Can we have them? I get all my information from the telly you see .Grin Oh and it's Norris with two 'r's. Coronation street character - see what i mean about telly!

EmmaCummins · 29/09/2011 22:09

Funny, thats just how I imagined you!

Why not spend your time finding out, you might be surprised! It'd be time well spent, maybe actually something useful you could do other than sat on your arse spouting off shyte on here?

And its 'I' not 'i' seems as though this has turned into a showcase of your spelling and punctuation talents. Also Traveller has a capital T but we'll forgive you :-) I make that mistake alot....being soooo uneducated!

norriscoleforpm · 29/09/2011 22:15

Traveller has a capital 'T'? Well, well, I'm being educated already. Still waiting for those statistics. Will look forward to analysing them in my well paid job living in a house I've paid for. Thanks!

Dipsyistipsy · 29/09/2011 22:16

EmmaCummins when i type the word Traveller, spell check tells me it,s wrong ans should be spelt Traveler Grin
