Just seen on Twitter and in a few articles like this, that there are meant to be plans for a riot in Enfield tonight and riot police are in the town centre?

Used to live there, and got family there (luckily a fair distance from the centre), but fucking hell! What the hell is going on?

It's getting worse

I hope not, my DM lives there and works in the town centre. She is home by herself this week and would be terrified.

If it does happen I am going to go camp out there to help her out and can keep updates going but really hoping it doesn't happen

All the area's I have grown up in are being affected by this and it is horrid.

I'm only ten minutes away from the whole thing and it has given me a knew appreciation for people around the globe who are living in much worse social upheaval than this.

One journalist is claiming that police have hit bystanders during the jewellery store raid Surely if you are close enough to be in hitting range of a raid, then you possibly aren't just a bystander.

It doesn't appear to be busy enough that people are being forced closer by crowds.

There are now rumours that PC World on Southbury Rd has been attacked. Not seen any images of that yet though.

Apparently this is Gentlemen's Row in Enfield. DH and I don;t think it looks like it. And google streetview doesn't show those fences, anyone know if they've been added since google went round? Or if this photo is from elsewhere/another time?

There's not much talk of it on news outlets because it's important to try to play it down. If they say it's kicking off for proper then it will.
