Hi all I am just posting this in order to keep Joannes name in the public domain- This case is very mysterious and so far the police have no real leads although her parents suspect she has been abducted!

The link is below-

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1341106/Distraught-parents-Jo-Yeates-plead-help-finding-missing-architect-daughter.html

Hopefully someone has the information needed to bring Joanna hope safe and well- her parents are distraught!

exexpat I read the story you posted a link to.
It says in the story that she called her best friend Rebecca Scott on her way home.
Click on the name Rebecca Scott and there is a link to another story from September 2009 about a Rebecca Scott from Bristol who met up with someone she had been speaking to online and he later assaulted her and smashed her windows.
Don't know if this is indeed her friend but its a bit spooky.

tomorrowsanotherday · 27/12/2010 22:29

Could be somebody completely different I know but it spooked me when I saw it

exexpat · 27/12/2010 22:33

Odd - but there are probably dozens of Rebecca Scotts in Bristol, so it's not necessarily the same one - I think the links in Evening Post stories are generated by some automated system and come up with some pretty random stuff.

exexpat · 27/12/2010 22:35

Eg if you click on her father's name, you get hundreds of random stories with the name David in.

I've been wondering about the fact that they keep saying that her coat was left in the flat - don't most people have more than oen coat ? It seems a bit odd that there would be any circumstances in the recent weather that anyone would go out without a coat at all and if she was physically dragged out of the flat what happened to the pizza.

Are these some of the details that are being witheld ?

Thanks Shhhhh, curiousity is an awful thing but I can't help but notice that some things don't add up.

FlightoftheCrimbleTree · 28/12/2010 08:21

Tomorrows - I read that too and from the description of what happened, RS buying him food and him going to her flat - Oh dear.

It may be nothing to do with it but how weird. I'm sure they will be exploring this avenue. I should hope so anyway!

IAmReallyFabNow · 28/12/2010 09:09

I really feel that you shouldn't be saying anything at all ShhhhSanta. You either know stuff, or claim too, and it doesn't sit right how you are saying there is more known by the police that they are not saying and also that they have changed things. It is entirely possible the person who has killed this young woman, if it wasn't an accident, could be reading this.

seeker · 28/12/2010 09:16

Horrible ghoulish speculation. Stop it.

dietcokesholidaysarecoming · 28/12/2010 09:50

News conference at noon.

I hope the results give the family some answers.

FlightoftheCrimbleTree · 28/12/2010 10:33

The Mirror is reporting that police suspect she may have died from hypothermia.

God, it's so sad. I have no idea how reliable this is, btw.

Its awful however she died but for the peace of mind of Bristol residents lets hope it wasn't by foul play.

Not that I've heard of, Riven. There was a spate of attacks around the redland area last year, and also one in the muller road area (probably the same man). I don't think they ever caught up with him either.

wannaBe · 28/12/2010 11:19

I never said that I knew anything about the condition of the body. But let's be honest - if police were sure that she had been murdered then they would have launched a murder enquiry by now - they haven't. Murder enquiries have been started without there even being a body so the fact that one has not been started in this case leads me to think that they cannot be sure that she was murdered.

shhh I think all this "I know stuff but can't possibly say" is just a bit leading and unnecessary tbh. Fwiw the press are rarely given misleading information precisely because of people coming out saying "my mate has a mate who knows x" - usually there are embargos preventing the press from publishing certain information at certain times.

I don't personally think she was murdered. Obviously I could be wrong but I genuinely think that if there was the possibility she had been there would be a murder investigation by now.

I do think that maybe there is more about this case we don't know though - talk of abduction seems odd to me - perhaps she was in some trouble/involved in something she should have been/was being threatened or something, who knows.

Nevereatyellowsnow · 28/12/2010 11:22

This is such a bizarre case and so awful for her family. I read somewhere that she had been suffering headaches so I'm wondering if theres something in that. Maybe she had something that caused her to have an "episode" where she went wandering without her coat and belongings, got lost and succumbed to the freezing weather.

winnybella · 28/12/2010 11:31

The Guardian says that the detectives privately are convinced she's been murdered, wannaBe.

wannaBe · 28/12/2010 11:46

maybe she was. All I'm saying is that if it was that straightforward there would be an enquiry already and there isn't.

Me saying that I don't think she was murdered is surely no more in bad taste and would surely, in fact, be a far less horrible senario than some of the "I think the boyfriend did it/the dad is a bit odd" theories further up this thread.

CraigRevelPan · 28/12/2010 11:50

really horrible situation for family.

not helped by shhhsanta's ego. would your relative/friend involved in the case appreciate your stoking the fires of speculation?

aristomache · 28/12/2010 11:50

Joanna looks similar to Melanie Hall to e me, I wonder if the two cases are connected

OrangeCountyStrip · 28/12/2010 11:53

pan, I don't think shhhhsanta has acted wrongly. She's sought to point out that not all details are yet in the public domain.

I don't think that is stoking, I think it's sensible.

OrangeCountyStrip · 28/12/2010 11:57

Yes particularly in their graduation photos. Very similar indeed.

CraigRevelPan · 28/12/2010 12:00

hmm...ok. But we know investigations never reveal full details whilst it's on going. just feels wrong to come on the www and proclaim insider info. A bit pointless.
