Kate's been dropped by H&M. She was filmed snorting coke.

by the way both were fully functioning adults holding down serious jobs and probably earning £750k pa between them. middle/upper class

oliveoil · 21/09/2005 13:03

Beg to disagree, but having coke occasionally does not make you a drug addict and mean you will ruin your life and everyone in it. Purlease.

Horrid experience for you Expat but you can't say that everyone that has a line will be loading up weapons.

A lot of people on here, myself included, have done a bit of partying in the past and at no time did I, or any of my friends, lose jobs/friends/partners etc because of it.

Now that you mention it irishbird - I have no idea! Bit shocked by those 2 deaths so close together though, as you can imagine

But oliveoil, kate doesn't do it occasionally, she does it incessantly. and you have to admit that going out with a crackhead heroin addict isn't really the action of someone who just dabbles in a recreational way and can take or leave it!
As I say, I think she is in trouble and I feel sorry for her.

oliveoil · 21/09/2005 13:09

Agree on the crackhead - what on earth is she doing with him??? But how do we know that she is at coke incessantly? Because the Mirror says so? HA! Must be true then.

Hope she doesn't do a 'my drugs hell' story, they make me vomit.

Enid · 21/09/2005 13:11

a friend of mine had a terribly debilitating stroke on NYE 2000 due to coke use

SoupDragon · 21/09/2005 13:11

Can I just point out that my comment abut her daugher was simply to point out that the child is not in any danger, not that I think it's OK to take coke.

Although, tbh, if someone chooses to take a class A drug, there's not a lot you can do about it. It's the people who sell it or hand it out to get people hooked that are the real scumbags.

princesspeahead · 21/09/2005 13:13

no, not from the mirror oliveoil. I just happen to know. it has just been a matter of time before something like this happened, she has been getting out of control for a while.

enid - horrible horrible isn't it.

Have not posted much on this site, but I am truly shocked at the nasty comments re: somebody's private life. I mistakenly thought most women who used mumsnet were intelligent and compassionate - and had done a bit of partyng in their life....Very, very nasty.

SoupDragon · 21/09/2005 13:25

I haven't, ggglimpopo. Have never even smoked a cigarette. I have consumed large amounts of alcohol in my youth though

soapbox · 21/09/2005 13:25

Gggglimpo - me[squeak, squeak]

Never felt the need to, alcohol has always been buzzy enough for me

ark · 21/09/2005 13:27

I misunderstood what soupdragon had said - sorry! I thought she was saying it was safe! However the attitude in general is that it is okay and safe to be an occasional user - bercause it isbn't like an additction so it can't ruin your life. And yeah i agree there is a difference however you only have to have a laced line or a bad reaction once to know that you do not need to be an addict to put yourself at risk or behave vilely !

As for casual users, it is amazing how it becomes habit very quickly sudden;y its every Friday and then there is something else to make you feel better on Saturday morning! I don't want to turn this into a drugs bad type discussion that is not where i am at. However drugs (including legal ones) are dangerous whether you use em once a year or once an hour! I am fed up of reading that coke is an acceptable drug.

Cam · 21/09/2005 13:32

Soupdragon and Soapbox, no gas and air then

soapbox · 21/09/2005 13:34

Straight to the epidural for me Cam - surely it doesn't count if you don't swallow, smoke or sniff.

Like Soupie - not even a fag has passed my mouth

Halo gently glittering in the autumn sun[pmsl]

Cam · 21/09/2005 13:35

You must be easily shocked then lewislewis

aloha · 21/09/2005 13:35

She is at the coke incessantly. It's no secret! She's even been in rehab and admitted it. I know a lot of people in the industry and it really isn't made up by the Mirror. You read but half of it tbh.
