.... here. Jools & Jamie have had another baby.

Am I being unreasonable (although this is not the AIBU forum) but how ridiculous (or other words I can't think of) are these names?! Buddy Bear takes the whole thing to a new level...

Anthony Keidis has a child? And not with me?

sethstarkaddersmum · 16/09/2010 13:30

I bet Jools is a Bear Grylls fan. She probably gazes at his rippling torso and wishes she'd married a tv action man instead of a tv chef.

Francagoestohollywood · 16/09/2010 13:31

Buddy Bear. I actually like it better than all his sisters' names.

freelancescientist · 16/09/2010 14:15

Ah, but Bear Grylls's real first name is not bear.........so there!

nobiggy · 16/09/2010 14:24

Should've called him Stalk.

He'll feel that he doesn't fit in :(

TotorosOcarina · 16/09/2010 14:26

Poppy, daisy, petal

shouldn't he have been leif or branch or Basil?!

Poor kid.

Christ.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 16/09/2010 14:28

Congrats Jamie and Jools

LetThereBeRock · 16/09/2010 14:30

Poor child, poor children I should say.

They seem to forget that they're naming children, future adults, not colour schemes for nurseries.

thighsmadeofcheddar · 16/09/2010 14:32

idiots.
I do like Jamie though. But FGS.

LadyThompson · 16/09/2010 14:33

Oh, leave 'em alone, you miserable coven of cat's bum mouths...It's not that bad. People who huff and puff and other people's name choices are tedious in the extreme.

LetThereBeRock · 16/09/2010 14:33

As are those who whine about others doing just that.

Giddyup · 16/09/2010 14:35

I was convinced they would go for the only boys name DP and I can sort of agree on, but they didn't. So, I think they made a great choice!

LetThereBeRock · 16/09/2010 14:36

What name did you think they'd go for Giddyup?

TotorosOcarina · 16/09/2010 14:36

whats that giddy? Grin

LadyThompson · 16/09/2010 14:37

Is that your finest riposte. LetThereBeRock? Oh, very good.

LetThereBeRock · 16/09/2010 14:40

I'm glad you appreciate it.Grin

Seriously though, this is a thread specifically about discussing their choice of name. Do you really expect people not pass comment on it?

nikkershaw · 16/09/2010 14:41

couldn't give a monkeys really

pumperspumpkin · 16/09/2010 14:44

My daughter brought Buddy Bear home from nursery the other weekend. He had a diary to be filled in and then she had to tell the other two year olds about his weekend.

LadyThompson · 16/09/2010 14:45

Well, LTBR, I think it's actually the fact that people virtually queue up to pour scorn on the name of a newborn. It seems a bit low, a bit mean. Plus, I do genuinely think that barring names which could cause others genuine distress (Hitler, say), I don't mind what other folk call their nippers. Let 'em get on with it. I won't be sucking my teeth over my knitting needles.

Lavitabellissima · 16/09/2010 14:45

I like it, and I am convinced Jules is a mumsnetter so don't be so mean you lot! Smile

It's better than Zowie Bowie Grin

nikkershaw · 16/09/2010 14:48

better than the standard boring mc names like hugo and god forbid jonty

Giddyup · 16/09/2010 14:50

I thought they might go with Herbie, but I think that would have been a bit boring in comparison to the girls.
