Hi All

dh was working yesterday so brought dcs to library & park and bought a couple of steaks on the way home, yummy

Mini I have the same problem, hate it, the people who lived here previously gave slattern a whole new meaning, so toilet easily stained
I tried the coke one but with diet and it just made it worse, I use bleach and don't worry about septic tank that mum other crap (excuse the pun) goes in there it dosen't matter (believe me I'm a microbiologist, seriously I am)

Ali didn't know what Expedit was either but soon discovered it while browsing Ikea website, have printed a little list for myself

I spent the afternoon at my friends house she is booked for c-section next week so all excited

I'm wrecked so going to lie down with a book (polishes slattern crown)

PlumBumMum · 20/07/2010 15:58

that much other crap (I mean't)

minimammoth · 20/07/2010 16:48

Fanfare and pulls on superslattern costume. Have bannished limescale. Have used almost a whole pint of Vaikal and did the tissue with vinegar trick on the remnant... it worked!! with a bit of scraping.
Thanks HMHB for that tip and K&A. mucky work though and I suspect there is more lurking where I can't see. I agree though Plum it will be back, Although toilet is new for us. I'm always a bit wary of upsetting the bacteria who live in the septic tank, touchy crowd they are. But I'm sure your right a bit of bleach wuld go unnoticed.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 20/07/2010 18:42

Put vaseline on it jks?

PlumBumMum · 20/07/2010 18:59

JKS put savlon cream on it and wrap plaster round it leave on for as long as possible and then use a needle, if it hasn't come out on its own,
tweezers cause pain before they've done the job, needle just tickles unless really deep!

HMHB can you link to picture of monkey,

easy way out is make chocolate cake and cover in chocolate buttercream, them use chocolate icing pen(Tesco do white chocolate ones) to draw the face on, large chocolate buttons for eyes, small ones for nose, then if you want you could make chocolate buns top with green buttercream and those sweetie bananas(or just chocolate buttercream sorry am getting carried away here) I imagining all sorts!

I'm imagining making another small cake in a pudding bowl to trim for a mound on the top where his mouth would be.

PlumBumMum · 20/07/2010 19:00

look at these

PlumBumMum · 20/07/2010 19:02

Although if you paid me travel I would do something like this

FreakoidOrganisoid · 20/07/2010 19:29

Just made a v yum and easy dinner Had leftover roast chicken and leftover sour cream, mixed sour cream with masala spice, marinated chicken in it for a few hours, then cooked it with some onion and a little bit of salt. Was v yum, just had a naan with it.

DD been horrible last few days, am now dreading the holiday tbh

JustKeepSwimming · 20/07/2010 19:42

Plum - love the big cake! Though i like your ideas for the homemade one too

Well we tried soaking in the bath and no joy with the splinters (2 close together), interesting about the needle vs tweezers didn't know that.
Will try vaseline/savlon tomorrow depending.

Morning all

JKS I find putting the savlon on is great, sometimes it draws them out on their own, failing that it numbs the area abit to get them out with the needle

MINI I have office doom too, WORSE I also have a VAT return that needs finishing!!!!

TO DO
get dressed
dcs bathed/showered & dressed
sort out clothes on bedroom floor
VAT rtn

minimammoth · 21/07/2010 10:35

OH Plum! Not the VAT return. I will hold your hand right. it will be ok. makes soothing noises.Awful dawning.. may mean that ours is also due.EEK. do they still send out forms, I forget, they are always changing the rules.
Also have afear that office is really a sort of 'Doctor who' set and is really a portal to alternate universe.
Will try the 15/20 min thing have done that before and it does work... Will have a little coffee first though.

JustKeepSwimming · 21/07/2010 10:38

Thanks Plum, will see if I can find any savlon somewhere, they are looking a little reddish.

Well done on the inbox JKS. Mine are mostly Facebook etc. I forget to clear it regularly though and then it takes ages and is soooo annoying.

VAT return doesn't sound fun Plum. I had to do tax returns for a couple years, and the first year, I'd had about 5 employers plus the self-employed. And I'd sent all my p45s off to try and claim tax back, so had no details and had to go into all the old jobs to get paye details. Not fun.

Mini, You can do it!

I'm so not motivated to do anything.

Quickfire -

  • drink coffee and argue on internet doing
  • put load of nappies in
  • tidy frontroom a bit
  • pack change bag
  • wipe sides down and dry pots
