Morning all Yesterday went by in a blur, with unexpected visitors and grumpy too hot DC. I am hoping for a better day today.

I was going to make a curry today but last night DH suggested with take a throwaway BBQ to the beach, I'm very happy with his idea as BBQ cooking is his domain

Doing fuck all this weekend. Had a lovely chat with his mum and dad and they have well an truly opened my eyes.

They are not surprised he has done this and that he has done it before only without the move to the otherside of the world and the kids.

They said I am better off without him and that I need to make sure myself and the kids are sorted. They will call and see us every week and that I am part of the family and will be treated as such.

Basically, the past 11 years of my life has been a fucking sham and I am NEVER letting that bastard near me or the kids. He called the kids to explain what he has done, and lied to Rebecca again and then went and told his 7 year old son that he hates him and that he is stupid.

FUCK HIM.

The good thing in all of this is that I have spoken to my nan for the first time in 8 years. It was good to hear her voice again.

As Plum said my breakup was fairly recent and I've had a few slumps and crashes along the way (much moaning on slatterns threads during them!) but on the whole life is so much better now and I feel much happier than I have for years. Children seem better off too. I hope you find the same (and the slatterns are all very supportive and don't seem to hold my whinging against me!)

Anyway...it is official that I am a big failure as far as exercise is concerned...ex took the kids this eve so I decided to go for a run along the river. Got changed then stood by front door for about 10 mins psyching myself up Power walked to footpath then started running...for about a minute until my throat started aching and my legs hurt . Seriously how do people run???? I didn't think I was that unfit cos can walk for miles but must be deluding myself! I thought I'd keep going and alternate the power walking with bursts of running but there were too many people out for a nice stroll or on their way to the pub so I only managed about 10 mins total, was too embarassed!

Ipom - he sounds like a total arse. You are better off without him and the kids will be too if he says stupid things like that!

Freakoid - thats a start! Try for 15 tomorrow. The throat thing might be because you are thirsty or you're breathing through your mouth instead of your nose and making it all dry. I shall ask DH as he used to be into running.

Hello Slatterns

Have had a lovely day - picnic, paddling pool, BBQ. Friends are off after brunch tomorrow so will have the rest of the day to get some jobs done.

IPOM - I have replied on your thread, but Jesus what a fucking bastard he is saying that to your DS . He will be a sad lonely twat forever and you will have your beautiful children. You sound so strong for them, they are v.lucky to have you.

Freak - DH has started running, he has gone from only being able to run for a minute to doing a 3.5 mile run next week for some corporate thing in London. He is using a Nike program similar to the couch potato thing that he signed up to online - as far as I know it's free, and he's doing the Great South Run in October which is 10 miles, he's got a way to go before then but honestly he was so unfit - it is possible.

IPOM Sorry to intrude but what a tosser he is!! MY friends H did this a few years ago, cleared out his phone of everything and just vanished. Family and friends were very worried he'd commited suicide.....til they got a call from him requesting someone buy him a ticket home from Spain!! You sound so strong! Definately better off without someone like that, you and your DC's. Wishing you and Family all the best x

Morning all, was at d1s show yesterdy they were all fantastic but it was very long my bum is numb, can't see dd2 sticking the pace next year
So another show tonight but I'm a helper tonight whichis good craic and still get to see dd1 dancing

I really need to do some serious housework though!!

Mini the figures for the wedding cake are the 8 guests at top table including bride & groom and toptable on top of cake so abit of work

Pleasing morning in 3 ways:

1. No children waking me up at 6
2. I went to matalan and caught sight of somone in window reflection who looked quite groomed and cool and collected unlike me who felt a hot sweaty mess. Looked again and it was ME
3. I bought a new bra and it was a c cup . Pre dcs I was aspiring to be an A, went up to a B whilst pg/bf and now own my first C cup! The sizing might be dodgy but I don't care, the label says I am a C!

On the downside my floors are a state, house is a mess and I still haven't done the ironing.

RE the running I can only go once every 2 weeks (IF exh has the dc) so won't be able to build up much fitness that way, I think had there been fewer people around and I had an ipod or something so I could listen to music then it would have been slightly less traumatic! But every now and then is better than nothing and I'll try to up the walking a bit inbetween (3 miles done today, good girl )
