Well, I have picked up the sickness bug that DD had last week and DS1 and DS2 are saying the feel sick. I am feeling yuk and can't bare to eat I hate feeling ill because I can't just take the day off IYSWIM, DC are 24/7 whether you're ill or not!! Hopefully I will be feeling better tomorrow.

mumtoblaire Hip, hip, hooray for maternity leave!!

plum white choc cheesecake yum........ (not that I think my tummy would like it atm!!)

mini sticker chart sounds good, although It would take me ages to earn a prize!!

wasting glad you had a lovely day!!

Enjoy your evenings

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/07/2010 19:38

Just did some multi tasking-read stories to dc whilst they were in the bath. Normally once I've had all the battles of getting them to wash, clean teeth etc and then spent 15 mins persuading them to get out of the bath I CBA with stories so either read the shortest one possible or tell them it's too late I do read to them a lot at other times but only at bedtime a couple of times a week.

Have a massive ironing pile glowering at me but I don't want to!

Alice I hated waiting at the end, hope he comes soon for you!

RainbowDrops · 15/07/2010 19:38

alice How exciting!! (the baby and the dining room ) Your friends does sound like a real star!!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/07/2010 19:40

Feel better soon rainbow, sick bugs are the worst. I have been sneezing all day, hoping it's not what wc had - he was proper poorly.

Alice bomb recipe please!

Alicetheinvisible · 15/07/2010 19:57

Freak you make a chocolate cake (doesn't matter if it turns out a bit rubbish) Grease a bowl, crumble the cake into it (Big crumbs/small chunks) then you want just under a pint of milk, warm it in a saucepan, as it is heating, add teaspoon instant coffee granules, teaspoon cocoa powder, tablespoon of golden syrup and (this is optional) a glug of alcohol (Baileys or Bacardi work very well) heat through til everything mixed (But not boil) then pour over cake in bowl and leave to set (at least 8hrs) in the fridge. Take out of fridge an hour or so before serving and turn upside down on a plate, should slide out dome shaped.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/07/2010 20:01

Thank you

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 15/07/2010 20:16

just wanted to stop by and say

  1. celebrity come dine with me is v amusing tonight and
  2. Robbie is back with Take That - yey

those two simple things have cheered me up today.

JustKeepSwimming · 15/07/2010 20:28

Mmm sounds yum!!

Mini - nothing specific, have just been having clearouts and decided I would at least try and raise some Paypal money (to buy DC toys with mostly lol!) by listing it on eBay first.
If it doesn't sell I charity shop it.
So, some clothes, some jewellery, some toys (gasp!) etc.
Also my brother gave me his old Xbox to sell for whatever it goes for towards the boys.

Meh

Crap night sleep, full of cold, whiny dc, ruffle dress (the one I haven't even worn yet) that I was planning to wear to friend's wedding is now too tight, had to fork out £12 for a pair of friggin leggings for dd's dance exam and ds opened a drawer above me as I was tidying some stuff away and I stood up into it and have a massive bruise and cut on my back

Woe is me

FreakoidOrganisoid · 16/07/2010 14:53

er clearly the dc aren't the only whiney ones

JustKeepSwimming · 16/07/2010 16:22

Have been round the corner for potatoes & a Match Attax folder - not that DS1 has even the slightest clue tbh but people keep giving him the cards. I can feel myself coming over all OCD about the folder & having them in order

Not sure if I am just grumpy or have PMT...can you have PMT a whole week before you are due on??

Going out to buy an onion in a min, if I can persuade ds he does need clothes on that is.

PlumBumMum · 16/07/2010 17:43

Hi everyone will catch up later, have been out all day got dh a nice watch for his birthday

BUT have a bit of a WWYD for you all?
thought I would call into hotel and take a photo of the cake set up,
took photo then realised one of the heads was broke went to fix it and it wasn't the right head ,
someone at the hotel had broke the brides head & bridesmaids head and then put the on the wrong way round
thank God I called in, but they knocked alot of hair off so hope the bride remembers seeing lots of hair when I delivered it yesterday

So should I let bride know this happened, because if I hadn't called she would know as heads were on the wrong people, iyswim, she left the cake in their care

JustKeepSwimming · 16/07/2010 17:56

Plum - i think i would leave it. She will be getting stressy probably from now on and won't deal well with another problem. You have mostly fixed it now so hopefully she won't notice. just my opinion.
Annoying though, grrrr.
