Mini - at Basil Clueso

Plum - meant to say, glad someone at least has seen sense about letting nephews and nieces attend weddings!
Also - what is LA Ex? Which thread?

Wasting - I am coping better, much better, but my standards are a lot higher than they were! It's this sodding wedding, it's looming so large in my thoughts at the moment that I can't concentrate on other things. The house looks very nice and clean and tidy etc if I've had an hour to do a quick clear up and hoover, but I know that there are growing Areas of Doom in various cupboards etc and that is stressing me out. I am turning into Monica Geller

Ipom - you sound very generous of spirit to still be in contact with H.

Worn out & frazzled - should have mentally prepared yself for development check of DS2, even though we are really positive about him, someone who has never met him just spends all the time saying he CAN'T do this, he DOESN'T do this, etc. Had a cry when i left.

Luckily made it to DS1's Leaver's thing, which was quite sweet
(not sure about graduation gowns & mortar boards though )

Sparkly?

My house never looks sparkly!

Actually on that theme H came round this am to take dd to school and was telling us he has found a house. He said "It's quite big for a 2 bed and really nice, much nicer than this" (looking round my house) Yes that would be because he has the luxury of being able to choose whichever house he wants whereas I had to go with the only landlord that would accept housing benefit (and anyway I love my house even if I would change the decor if I could). Anyway apparently the landlord has gutted it and everything will be brand new for H, wonder how long it will take him to trash it? Seriously when I think of all the time I used to spend clearing up drinks he'd spilt (wine, tea etc), clearing mud off the carpets, wiping up after him in the kitchen, clearing up wee in the bathroom where he'd miss the toilet...he is a filthy pig!

And then I was already pissed off at him when preschool told me he hadn't handed in dd's sponsorship form (gave it to him this morning) and then I tried to get the code to transfer my mobile number and they wouldn't give it to me because he registered my sim to him so I've had to ask him to do that for me.

RARRRRRR!

And breathe.

Is there such a thing as Pre Ovulation Tension or am I just being irrationally annoyed for no reason?!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/07/2010 13:05

Cross posted JKS.

Are you serious about the gowns etc?

That's awful about ds2's check, what happened to focusing on the positives and the things he can do??

JustKeepSwimming · 08/07/2010 13:07

Freak - deadly serious, it was nuts.

And i would say annoyed but for a perfectly good reason, him!!

Ipom · 08/07/2010 14:38

JKS - its a very bizzare stiuation but it has done us the world of good. We have realised what we could have lost and neither of us wants that. He's been calling everyday. He's sending money to help with the bills and the mortgage. He's saving up for me to re-apply for the visa and for the flights. He is waiting to hear about a job he went for and is looking at 3 bed houses for us to live in. He's even sorting out the furniture so all I have to do is make sure the kids are ok, the bills are paid and sell the house when the time comes.

He admits he has gone a really shitty thing and I do think he is trying everything he can to make up for it. It's going to take time but we will get there.

He says it's the biggest mistake he has ever done as nothing is right without the rest of us. He understands that it will take time for me to able to trust him completely again but he says he needs to stop bottling things up and talk.

We'll get there in the end. Maybe this could be the best thing to happen for us. I admit we were stuck in a rut and this has got us out of it.

wastingaway · 08/07/2010 16:25

Blimey Ipom, did he say what he thought he was doing?

I've got 0 energy today due to AF and will be requiring short lists, as MIL is coming round in a bit I think.

  • put nappies in to wash
  • general tidy upstairs
  • 15 min kitchen

Go!

minimammoth · 08/07/2010 16:51

Sorry to here about ds assessment JKS. It sounds as he/she could do with some feedback. I would be upset.
Freak- Ali also at Sparkly
Am trying to do a bit of catching up. check in later.
Moth count Nil but also 2 dead rain beetles and unhappy looking woodlouse. So mega death is working. Feel guilty about the beetles though.

PlumBumMum · 08/07/2010 16:53

Afternoon girls, just had a lovely lunch with friends, and all are dcs got on like a house on fire, t'was lovely no arguing or anything!!
Although poor dd1 had no-one her age, she was abit bored

Ipom I have said it here loads I am a hopeless romantic, so glad it is turning out well, hope you get the visas sorted, how are the dcs though, have they been ok with him?

Freak has dh ever shown any remorse or anything towards you since it all happened?

Right have a wash in the washing machine been there all day so need to

Take down dry washing
hang up wet washing
put dinner on
Iron dry washing
tidy up after puppy, she has officially moved outside but we had to lock her in today as she tried to follow us down the lane, still small enough to climb through gate!
Make shopping list for tomorrow
give bathrooms a wipe round
empty dishy!

PlumBumMum · 08/07/2010 16:57

JKS its always better to have a wee cry about it, than bottle it up and be grumpy with everyone,
Remeber you will have days like that, I remember there was a certain doctor with dd1 he always made me feel guilty for asking questions, like shes had this for years why are you still asking these questions type of thing, I always left in tears so started asking for a different doctor, I think some people forget these are our children who we want to make everything perfect for ((hugs))

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/07/2010 17:42

Plum you must be joking! He is perfect

minimammoth · 08/07/2010 18:03

Haven't really done much of list but I have.... Fanfare please. CLEANED the inside of the kitchen waste bin. ( only the lid mind) Grade 1 listed DOOM and 98 on the filthometer, and 4 star shame rating.
Will pluck up courage to do down to the bottom when rubbish goes out tomorrow.
Have tried to achieve sprakly by polishing kettle and toaster in kitchen. It is still not sparkly... by a very long way. Can you come over Ali....

List
pick up hedge trimmings
think of recipes for using raspberries
DH admin
CC amendments some
Office -4 star area of DOOM
garden bonfire -goody goody

think about decorating
plan some time to do some of above
student portfolio
PG day2 prep some
sort dates for COH

do med. fliers/email
magazine rack mini DOOM area

minimammoth · 08/07/2010 18:06
