Morning ladies. Normal jobs are on hold until I've stopped panicking about the wedding this weekend...

Another problem is this...
The wedding is on sat. We are driving down to MIL's to drop of DS (who isn't invited) on Fri eve. Then we will have to drive for 4 hours or so to the wedding; so do we
a) stay at MIL's get decent night sleep, get up early, drive to wedding on sat and get changed in hotel on arrival

or

b) drop of DS and drive straight to a travel lodge nearer to the wedding on Friday then get dressed up and go straight to wedding in the morning. We would arrive fairly late on the fri though.

The wedding is at 1.30 in a church then onto massive ridiculously posh hotel.

Gaven't read the dilemma bit yet - but my advice re the night is go and stay nearby.
2 reasons - less stress about traffic on the day
& nice night just the 2 of you
check in, find a nice pub go for a drink or meal, even if late.
You can have a lie-in on the Sat morning and be all relaaaaxed

thanks jks. DD will be with us too but it will be nice to be on our own just with her like you say.

Halfmum - no ideas about frocks but would definitely go for option B in your position - one less child is a luxury not to be missed!!

Wondering whether my success on this thread last night was beginners luck, but also thinking there might be something in my character that responds to telling a bunch of strangers what I ought to be doing in order to motivate me to do it...I also know that long lists scare the heck out of me so mine will only ever have a few things at a time on it.

To do:
-Get together documentation for trip to bank and building society this morning.
-Fill in form to withdraw money from savings account
-Leave house at 10.55 for appointment

but still think the relief of being nearby for the morning is worth the evening travel, babies are flexible and can sleep in the car/car seat/etc.
