I said well he's in lurve isn't he and she said "Is he? I don't know about that"

LOL

Then I said I hadn't seen him for ages either and she said "well that's not right, I'm just his nan so he doesn't have to make any effort for me but he shouldn't stop seeing his friends"

Damn right

minimammoth · 02/06/2010 21:11

Honestly I am away for a few hours and it all kicks off. I hope all are calm now. Had tiring day in London but not as bad as last week.
Plum I am cncerned about your shoulder, am a bit of an expert, as have had loads of probs with mine and also treated many with bodywork. Do you have limited mobility, a well as pain?

JustKeepSwimming · 02/06/2010 21:12

Freak - lol but sad for his nan.

Yes shopping in Bots not exactly High Street is it?!

I was given loads of Mat clothes when pg with DS1 so i felt good that i didn't have to buy much but tbh it was all 'well-worn', i feel the need to treat myself next time. Saw the Crave catalogues last time, v pricey and no need for me to spend that much but a few nice bits would be good.

I got some really nice maternity clothes in Next when I had DS, things which looked like you'd made a bit of effort rather than just crawled out of bed into the nearest t-shirt which was the look I went for during most of my pregnancy!
If I do not hurry up and shift some more of this weight then I will be having to buy all new stuff in a bigger size Ho hum!

Someone asked what diet I was doing, I am low-carbing. Neris and India's Idiot Proof diet. So far so good, although I could murder a cheese sarnie and some roast potatoes! It bloody works though, I have lost 3 inches off my waist in a week and a half!

Ali, how strict is that diet? Can you have plenty veg, fruit?

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/06/2010 00:16

Wasting it is pretty strict. First two weeks no fruit at all, after that just berries and things like peaches - no apples, bananas etc until you have pretty much lost all the weight you want to.
DH is doing it too which is really helping, it is bad enough making things for DS which I can't have, never mind if DH was eating normally too!

You can eat loads of veg and salad though, even things like butternut squash and tomatoes which are vetoed on other low-carb diets.
Interestingly, I've entered my food on FF for a few day and I'm eating such a low amount of calories - about 1200 per day (today only 900!)- but because it's protein mainly I'm genuinely not hungry. Very odd.
The book is only 4 quid on Amazon atm if you fancy taking a peek.

Why am I still awake, must go and sleep!

PlumBumMum · 03/06/2010 05:16

why if I rang gp for stronger painkillers am I up at this time in BLOODY AGONY!!!

PlumBumMum · 03/06/2010 05:26

Just seen your post mini, yes if I keep from my shoulder to my elbow tucked against me the pain is less, but this morning if I even bend forward feel like something is going to catch across my shoulder
I'm going to have to go back to the docs, aren't I?
Yesterday I got up, at about 4.30 and took the codeine tabs(yellow ones) from my migraleve and they definitely helped, but have took these new tablets, this morning with some cereal, that was fun trying to eat left handed milk was everywhere!

cikecaka · 03/06/2010 06:35

Morning Plum, I woke early too, thankfully not in pain though. Hope you are ok.
Well done Ali on the weight loss. I so want to get motivated but its just not happening at the minute.

Morning everyone,
Plum, if you can take them, you may be better taking an anti-inflamatory as well as paracetamol. Can you lift your arm up above your head? and if you stand with arms stretched in front of you open them slowly, how far do you get? Definitely go back to docs. If its frozen shoulder it takes ages, they may offer you an injection into shoulder.
I am booked in tomorrow for the smear.Being a good girl.
Loads to do today, but must
buy paper
shop
bank
prep for new course
tidy
hoover
dishy
wash bedding if washer can be coaxed

Hi everyone,

Back from docs, he gave me tramadol to take with the arcoxia,
but said the dose for the arcoxia was too low(couldn't say anything else as it was his sister who prescribed that)
he said it was an intermetient(sp) thing and would go away in time, I have nearly a full range of movement, and when I'm lying in bed it is actually more comfortable to ly with arm above my head its getting it back down again that hurts
So I will just take everything gently and see how it goes
dd1 is at hospital tomorrow for her eyes and ds has that other hearing test on Monday, see this is why I always put me on the back burner

Well done mini fof booking smear
