Halfmum - that must have given you a nice boost. Glad the day went so well. I had a really enjoyable lunch with a couple of friends. Made me realise how important it is to make time for such things!!

This evening: dishwasher, put away laundry, get kids to prep bags for tomorrow, general tidy up.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 25/05/2010 18:50

Lol CC I don't feel young, feel like a granny most of the time!

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 25/05/2010 19:23

Plum - was chuffed with my two outfits and felt great in them (but had drunk a few glasses of bubbly ). DD v well behaved.

Glad you're feeling better Ali.

I wouldn't have worried about moving him to a bed too soon, but I don't think he'd fit in his travelcot anymore, and I'm going to get this for on holiday, and wanted him to be a bit used to not having the sides on before we go.

OP posts:
minimamoth · 26/05/2010 08:33

Morning slatterns.
DH appoitment went quite well, they are going to get him some more tests, which is what he wanted. To check if his brain is functioning properly. He suspects blood flow may be a prob, at least they are going to look. Am not sure how i feel about it, don't want to worry unneccessarly.
On another subject entirely, I have a dilemma. Have been invited to Hunt Ball(blimey!)
its black tie. If I ask my v. posh friend she will say I must wear a long dress. Do I HAVE TO? as don't really want to, but don't want to show self up and offend the horses[big grin]

wastingaway · 26/05/2010 09:17

Morning!

Minima, I think the traditions are very important with that sort of event. Glad appointment went well, hope they can get to the bottom of it.

Well, DS slept all night, and neither fell out, nor got out of his bed.
He didn't even get up when he woke up this morning, but waited for me to come and get him.

Wasting that is so cute! Where are you off to on holiday?
I know what you mean about the travel cot. DS doesn't really fit in the one that is at my Mum's anymore, the one we have here that gets carted around though is slightly narrower and a fair bit longer so it should last him for about another year, I hope!

Wasting - well done for getting your DS into a bed. The funniest is when they half fall out and you find them asleep on their head upside down. That bed looks great. We'll have to get one too for DS.

Mini - get thee to a dress agency! It's nice to dress up. Would be impressed if you manage to do 2 costume changes like me at the wedding .

PlumBumMum · 26/05/2010 11:39

Ok am almost convinced. Shall have to starve slightly to get into dress, but can't let side down.
Wasting its a big step going into a big bed, Aw not a baby anymore. oh and is that breadmaker fixed.
Off to have cuppa in garden now, then print out stuff for meeting tomorrow.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 26/05/2010 15:20

Afternoon all

H called late yesterday afternoon and asked if he could take the dc overnight So I only had to get myself up today

Wasting glad ds slept well in his bed We have one of those ready beds.

Mini definitely long dress I'm afraid Hope dh is ok

CWWM eek at poorly dc. The only thing that puts me off more babies is the thought of having to deal with more than 2 lots of vomit when they get ill.

DS still spotty but pharmacist says it doesn't look like chicken pox and is probably prickly heat or viral. Have calamine cream and antihistamines for him and she said to take him to the docs if not better in a few days.

WEnt and bought trainers and trackies today last night I really wanted to go for a run but couldn't because I only had flip flops or winter boots, at least this way I have no excuse if the urge ever takes me again (and if I am child free obv)

Anyone heard from alice?

lol Minima, my bloomin' breadmaker! I used it all the time when I first got it, but once DS arrived I just didn't have a routine, so it wasn't daily then. Since we moved in October, I've used it a couple times and the bread's flat! Maybe it's just being spiteful.

I shall have a go with it later.

Freak, I hope you've done plenty of relaxing on your child-free day.
