minimammoth - you must share your tips on how to get a DH to clean a bathroom!

Plum - I think if it can be sorted then we will go, it's a question of visas and whether DH would be paid in dollars or pounds and how much they would pay him. We'd still have our mortgage to pay here so we don't want to be worrying about exchange rates and things. Anyway he has a meeting on Tuesday to really go through all that stuff so we shall see!
PMSL at your curtain pole entry. We have two blinds sat in the utility that DH needs to saw to size and put up. I'm hoping he might get at least one done today

I've got nothing to wear, there's only porridge for breakfast which DS never eats, there's ants in the food cupboard and there's little chance I'll get all the cleaning done today.

We shall overcome!

Wasting - nightmare! You need to order pizza for breakfast so that you and DS don't starve while you wait for the washing machine, then you can go out in search of other 'supplies' . There is always a way!

Right I must get off here and go and get dressed so I can get some jobs done. Must finish my cleaning list today as a minimum.

It was all baby talk in our house this morning, dd2 believes we need to go to the babycentre, I told her to tell dh although I better lose wieght as I said I am not getting pg until I have done so!!

Wasting I am pilled up and massaged with brufen gel, so now we are back to tingly sesnation on left shoulder and nagging pain in right resurfaced when lifting shopping, (seriously how are you supposed to rest your shoulder)

Ali, the little bugger doesn't like pizza!

We've been to town and had KFC.

We are having a party for him tomorrow (allegedly) or I'd be dragging the duvet downstairs right now.

Hardly anyone is coming to this party. We failed to make any friends again this year so no children, but most of my family live away and can't come, and most of DH family will be in the front room watching the football, including DH. I don't care. I've put no effort into the food, other than ordering loads of scotch eggs and cheese online, though I'm planning on making cupcakes.
I've not done or bought a cake.
I'm just so knackered. But I need to clean, as it's a bit manky, and hopefully one good dose of the ant powder should see them off.

DS is snoozing outside in his buggy, so let the list commence!

Hello ladies

Wasting when the ants got into our food cupboards i washed them out with a very strong bleach/water solution then plugged up any holes with blutack. Touch wood, but they haven't been back since.

House is average at the moment. Need to put the dishy on and a washload, but meh. DH is on his way to france so DD and i are by ourselves. It is nice actually. I was meant to be going out tonight with the other mums, but my 'friend' has let me down again (yes this is the same friend as always)

I am looking forward to a nice night in, soak in the bath, new book etc, but was really looking forward to going out...

JKS - what a weird thing to say, what do they mean by that??

Alice - that sounds like a lovely evening. I always mean to do things like that and then end up vegging in front of the TV with DH instead.

Tips for getting - DH to clean bathroom. Its a matter of who gives in first really. So wear blinkers and do not, repeat not be tempted to do it yourself.
In our case we have a close friend - single man - who has a Kim and Aggie nightmare bathroom, so if ours looks as if it might be heading that way, the thought of it will set DH off!!

The SALT was trying to make out that i'd been v inflexible with when we were available for therapy appts, in fact I'd said mornings only as DS2 still has a mega-nap after lunch.

And GOSH phoned to say they can fit us in in June after all.

Soul-sapping the lot of them.

And DS2 has hardly slept all afternoon, just coughed, cried & been sick. DH has taken him to the docs - just around the corner - will see what they say without an appt, etc. I don't have another appt battle in me this week.

I really need to get off the sofa, get some puke-washing on, tidy the toy chaos from an afternoon of toddlers and sort DS1's tea....

Well DH obv has a better way with the health people than me, they have called an ambulance and taken DS2 to hosp - i had to drop off a bag of essentials and they had an oxygen mask on him, i knew his breathing wasn't great but didn't realise it was that bad

JKS, dont put yourself down, I know you are feeling guilty but sometimes they just go down so quick, remember in Dec, DD3 had pneumonia, she had a cough for a couple of days, didnt panic about it as I thought it was jsut a cough. Then I left her to toddler group on the Wed morning full of beans, by the time I collected her she was sleepy and something kicked in and I took her to the doctor.

JKS - you poor thing, you've had so much on your plate I really feel for you You mustn't doubt yourself, though it is so hard when you feel like you might be being neurotic. (((((hugs))))))
