Welcome one and all!

Here you can do any of the following:

  • repeat or start baby steps (again!)
  • repeat baby steps + do 15 mins a day decluttering in the current zone

or

  • reinforce babysteps and do daily missions if you have finished decluttering

This is what it's all about - Babysteps each day to try to get some order back into our home with LOADS of support from our regulars.

So join in! We start this thread on February 1st, but you are welcome to dive in at any point in the month.

Spot marked, thank you DWM. I have a few February resolutions in mind, have not been either getting up before DCs or using the control manual so far, have now realised that I have got as far as I can without taking these next babysteps, watch out here I come.

Lulabell · 28/01/2010 11:51

I'm on day two of babysteps today, so I'll be joining you for feb if that's ok

I'm already a bit scared that once I've finished them I'm going to have to learn about zones and missions!

ln1981 · 28/01/2010 13:03

Thanks dwm, that my spot marked.
Will need to do more decluttering in my living room as it hasnt gone so far this week (any exuse really as there is too much!!)

I may have said this once or twice before.

droitwichmummy · 30/01/2010 07:14

Welcome rodilla and itshappened - hope you get further this month

Hello Neenook missb and MM - good to see you back for more!

The zone for next week is the hall, entrance and dining room in case you want to get ready (or just go in, sigh, shake your head and close the door )

Just marking my spot so that I can keep up and maintain my surprisingly tidy home, thanks to flying since August.

Hello everyone!

I'm back and gearing up for new month ahead. Hope everyone is OK - have missed all you lovely fledglings.

Mummy thank you so much for the new thread and it's really terrific news that you are carrying on as thread leader - you do it so brilliantly - and it is much appreciated.
I want to take advantage of the bright sunshine here and get stuck in to some chores this afternoon, so haven't had time to read through all the posts I missed during the latter part of last week ... but just wanted to say ..I know it takes quite a bit of effort to post so consistently every day (including weekends) so just wanted to double check you are OK with it and to say "don't hesitate to say the word if and when you want a bit of a break from it"!!

Hello to everyone else.

I'll be back later to post this week's body clutter step for those of us with muffin top issues.

PositiveAttitude · 31/01/2010 13:12

I may have been up early Mummy, but confess to going back to bed for a most wonderful lie in after sending DH off to work with his sandwiches!

fruitstick · 31/01/2010 13:15

I'm marking my spot - after an embarrassing 2 months absence!

DH was made redundant in November and has been at home. A well as things being a litte stressful, this has meant no computer time during the day and any routine largely gone out of the window (oh and Christmas).

However he starts his new job tomorrow meaning Fruit Manor returns to its happy normal self and I get my house back!

My sink is still shiny though

StillCounting · 31/01/2010 18:26

(Pleas e ignore if you are not interested in losing weight.

Body clutter step for week beginning Monday 1st February is about "moving":

  • aim to walk 10,000 steps a day (MrsDinky)

useful to have a pedometer for this one!

If this seems too "full on" for the moment, then how about just making sure that you incorporate 3 or 4 30-min walks per week (at a reasonably brisk pace) in to your usual routine? (Walk the school run instead of taking the car, or get off the bus a couple of stops early, or walk to the supermarket or post office, that sort of thing.)

Failing that: a 15 min walk a day is better than nothing!!

Fat Fairy tip: if you are going to incorporate power walking or running in to your weekly routine then remember to lay out your exercise clothes beforehand.

We CAN do it everyone!!!

And remember to maintain:

  • body clutter step number one which is drinking between 1 and 2 litres of water a day
  • body clutter step number two which is eating five portions of fruit and veg a day
  • body clutter step number three which is writing down what you eat, how much and how often

Good luck!!

Am marking my place - again! I know, I know you will all be groaning "We've heard all her good intentions before" but this time I mean it - I miss my organised home!!

MrsGokWantsatidyhouse · 31/01/2010 23:46

Kust marking my place for tomorrow before I go up to bed.

As per my post on Jan thread I will be out all day so won't have a chance to do much at all till the evening.

Sweet dreams everyone.

Neenook · 01/02/2010 01:22

Marking my place for the morning - this month will be the month I fly from beginning to end!
