Well I'm finding out today what it's like to try and do housework with a child who is now mobile! Very slow!! Any tips gratefully recieved!!!!

Mum rang this morn and said oh how did it go?, wish I had just bought tickets for Tuesday, but I didn't realise it was fathers day so she still dosen't get that I don't care about her not going to the show, its the excuse she is using!!!

Well took Darcie to the audiologist and still has glue ear in both ears and both her eear drums are sucked right in. need to monitor it and go back in a few months to discuss the next step esp as she is now going to infants in Sept.

My fridge is here!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!! It is lovely, all clean and shiny. I am a little bit disgusted at how grubby the old one is now that i have emptied it, can't believe we haven't caught something, seriously, we must have the strongest immune systems in this house!

plum i can't have a smear til september. Its the policy round here that you can't until you're 25 which i think is mad! Not that i am looking forward to it of course, that would just be wrong You must be pissed off trillian

Alice - I think they say not to start til age 25 because when you're younger there's a very high rate of false positives so it's not worth testing. I had one a few years ago anyway as I was having some breakthrough bleeding while on the pill, but this was my first 'proper' one. (it didn't show up anything and just stopped on its own, no idea what had happened)

Yay for shiny new fridge! Is it a snazzy one that makes icecubes? I really want one like that.

I have had gyne problems in the past and had to have laparoscopy(sp) thats why i think its mad really.

Yes it is one that does chilled water, ice cubes and crushed ice!!! And tells the temperature of the inside on a little panel on the front. I wasn't that bothered about getting it tbh, but now it is here i am in love

How is the temping going?

Temping is going okay, the place this week is smaller and less pressured. I do have to ask for Thursday off though (hope they won't mind too much) because...

I have a second-round interview!!!! Yay!

Yay!! Where is that? Is it something you are interested in or a stop-gap job?

I am fairly interested in this job, yes. The money isn't as good as I was originally hoping for when I finished PhD but it sounds interestingt and I'll learn lots of useful transferabel skills so even if I don't move onwards and upwards in this company I'll still get good stuff out of it.

Well good luck then, as it it will probably be a bit better than temping (says she who is basically unemployable!)
