PlumBumMum · 30/05/2009 11:37

Here it is a new thread for June, and to motivate us for the Summer

OP posts:
alicecrail · 18/06/2009 11:02

Cwwm Give yourself a break!!!! You have plenty on your plate that a breakdown is perfectly acceptable
When i feel like this i try to do the jobs that have most impact iyswim? Like tidying DD's toys away and shaking out sofa throws - living room suddenly looks a million times better, which makes me feel better - i know i'm mad Also having the washing machine going makes me feel a bit more industrious

Comewhinewithme · 18/06/2009 11:06

ALICE I am mostly parked on sofa today anyway have just had a quick pick up in living room and put washer on .

wastingmyeducation · 18/06/2009 11:25

Quick bursts of activity are the best way to get on.

He got beat up in a club 6 years ago and his arm got broken. They were on tour the following week and he just played with a cast on! It often aches in the cold or when he's been overdoing it.
So this weekend he's hurt it while having a good time, falling through tables I think, and he thought he'd rebroken it, but Dr said it was just sprained. Still really hurting him though. Rock and roll.

Underestimated how long it would take me to get things done, like usual!

  • make bed done
  • clean sink done
  • spin washing done
  • water plants done
  • breakfast, clear up done
  • wash pots done
  • dry pots some
  • hang washing up done
  • finish pots done
  • washing done
  • clean compost caddy, and dustpan and brush
  • sweep and mop floor swept
  • wipe bathroom done
  • Me showered and dressed done
+ snacktime doing
  • DS changed

Then:-

  • tidy bedrooms
  • adjust new blackout blind
  • Sort DS cupboard, declutter!
  • lunch

Morning all (just still morning as am typing this!) Have been to the Dr and got my sickline, its for 4 weeks to start with, then I went to the post office to pick up a parcel. I slept in as was up last night puking - went out for dinner lastnight, must have been something I ate! However feel fine now.

wastingmyeducation has he had it xrayed recently? Just wondering if theres any long lansting damage from the previous injury. Or would he benefit from some physio? I am off work just now with a bad wrist injury and have been reading up on the lasting effects if not treated right away.

Dont be too hard on yourself misses.

Right my list -

Go to drs done
Pick up parcel done
shower and hair wash (selpt in so not done yet...)
wash dishes
see if I have enough to put a wash on
bins out
clean bathroom
sweep and mop floors
do make up

claireybee · 18/06/2009 12:01

MM she is a bully. Ignore. And the other girl not wanting to answer didn't neccesarily mean she thought the same, just that she didn't want to get involved. Although a bit of support wouldn't have gone amiss.

CWWM Don't feel bad, I'm amazed you're getting anything done. When ds was tiny all I did was manage to feed dd (and me), do a bit of washing and get dressed. If you look at all my pictures of ds as a baby all you can see is piles of toys, heaps of washing etc

Today:
All up, dressed, breakfasted - DONE
Washing up - DONE
Wipe kitchen & dining table - DONE

Hi everyone,

I think I'm going to get kicked off this thread haven't wrote a list in days

MM I was thinking maybe the other girl didn't want to answer, because she feels intimidated by your bully and as Clairey says just dosen't want to get involved

Off to do school runs in a min
need to ring dd1s dance teacher
organise PE gear for sports day tomorrow
make pack lunches for tomorrow done
put away all clean washing
put a wash on
put dd2's bed covers on
dinner
bedtime

OP posts:
giraffesCantRunA10k · 18/06/2009 13:41

You only get kicked off the thread for regularly completing every item on your list forgetting to come on is seen as a symptom of slatterness and so is very well understood.

Evening Ladies.

Sorry not been on today, been absolutely crazy. Went into college today dreading it TBH, but no one was in so it was just little old me. Found out the Law half in my diploma, I've got overall Merit - due to the fact one of my lecturers was determined to cap my last assignment even tho I had a good reason for extension! not that i'm too worried, as like my nice lecturer said I should be proud as i've continued to hand in fantastic work considering what i've been through in the last 8 weeks.

Just waiting on the working in the legal environment bit now!

Also found out the main girl who sent me more bitchy texts as I told my tutor about what happened, she wasn't actually in college yesterday so my tutor hadn't actually got round to talking to her, obv heard it from the other girl and so on. So my tutor now has a comprehensive copy of everything she said yesterday and day before!

Tonight I can just chill out, I have no housework, no washing, DP has taken DD up the park so I have 5 mins peace

PlumBumMum · 18/06/2009 19:13

Evening all!

Smallblessings I did a check on dd tonight too, she was away today with alot of schools and came back itching poor thing had three big midge bites in the middle of her parting!

Going to get off computer now and get PE gear sorted for sports day,
get dd2s clothes ironed
get everyone to bed
dh is away out to check a job, and bring me home a galaxy
Went to visit SIL today, baby is yummy and jaundice is clearing up, so her spirits were lifted

Evening.

CWWM - I'm fine, just got the usual heartburn thing going on. Went a bit wierd last weekend due to hormones but much better now. Was panicking about what the hell I am going to do when stop work in Oct and become a full time stay at home mum with DS1 who will be 3 plus the new baby. DS will mostly be in the part time school and I think I've sorted out my paranoia at being a rubbish mum but its sure to come back.

MuppetsMuggle · 18/06/2009 19:40

Ordered DD school uniform today, for 1 sweatshirt, 1 cardigan & 1 fleece came to £27 my jaw nearly hit the floor!

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 18/06/2009 21:14

Chuffed, actually managed to put some nail varnish on .

MM - I've not a clue how much these sort of things cost but if you have to buy for more than one child and get second sets I can see how the costs would build up. Must admit that my new maternity jeans cost £29.00 but am so glad have got them.

OP posts:
cikecaka · 19/06/2009 08:03
