Hi JKS and TA .

Dp is doing lots and even changing Lola at night after I feed her .

But I feellike I worked hard since Xmas to get inti a good routine and now it is all falling apart so need to get it sorted .

People keep telling me to leave the housework but it gets me more down if things are a mess iyswim?

Have a nice day looks like it is going to be sunny here .

alicecrail · 08/06/2009 09:03

Good morning slatterns

JKS my Dh doesn't like cake either, so if i bake something he may try it to be polite but you can tell he would rather not! My baking is not that bad

Muppets i'm sure all will work out, he is probably a bit stressed and the whole thing has got him thinking about the future etc. It just takes a while to get your head round when you are not expecting it, i was inconsolable when i found out i was pg

Morning everyone.

JKS I'll eat any unwanted baked goods for you, am not fussy

CWWM Glad dp is being helpful and I know what you mean about not feeling on top of things -when ds was tiny and used to scream non stop I'd go to bed as soon as dd did to get a few hours sleep while dh dealt with the screaming and the dishes just got left until the next day-meant I had a ton of housework to do before the day even started and used to set me up in a bad mood right from the beginning of the day (not helped by only sleeping for 3 hrs a night!).

DS is screaming at me so will come back to post list in a bit

TrinityRhino · 08/06/2009 10:19

I sent two single duvets full of clothes to the laundry last week

I have now sorted through them and got rid of half of that to charity

I have another single duvet full coming back soon and will need to get rid of almost all of that

we still have an obscene amount of clothes but I am steadily going through them and getting rid

thankyou for all your support

alicecrail · 08/06/2009 10:26

Well done trinity you can have a

I hope things are a little better for you now.

TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 10:44

SuperWasher · 08/06/2009 11:01

Wow well done trinity! I thought of you at the weekend as I forced myself to put away 5 baskets of clean washing-couldn't fit all of dd's tops in her drawers . But I'd only gone through then a couple of weeks ago and got rid of a load then she got some new ones for her birthday in age 3-4 that are still too big (she wears 2-3) but that she insists on wearing because they were birthday presents! Hopefully she'll forget about them soon so I can put the too big ones away for a few months...

List:
All up dressed etc - DONE
Strip dd's bed - DONE
Load of washing in- DONE
Load of washing on line - DONE
Washing up - DONE
Wipe over worktops, dining table and highchair - DONE
Clean loo -
Declutter -
lunch -
Tidy my bedroom -
Repot pumpkin and pepper seeds -
Cook dinner -

Not too bad today, was actually pretty productive yesterday and sorted understairs cupboard, put away all those loads of washing, hoovered whole house...

I am thinking of majorly culling the toys but it's a hard call because I have already got rid of all the crap so it is all nice toys they have left. They just have SO much and I don't think they appreciate it (are they too young???). DH thinks I am just being control freaky because it drives me mad how bits of all different toys get strewn everywhere and things get lost/broken.

Comewhinewithme · 08/06/2009 11:09

Alice your dd sounds very cute .
Hi ali dp been very good he has one more week off work I haven't cooked a meal since dd5 was born he has done all the ordering of takeaways cooking but am going to cook a roast today . Where are you going on holiday ?
Superwasher there is nothing worse than coming down to a messy house and trying to get the dc ready for school on top of it all .
Well done trinity I am a washing slattern too last saw the bottom of my washing basket when I bought it home from the shop.

Clean round bathroom done

PlumBumMum · 08/06/2009 11:13

Oh Superwasher I could have wrote the end of your post, I go through the toys and think but that cost so much,

I remember dd cot 2 very plush monsters inc toys, she didn't like monster inc, so I gave them to charity, but then ds went through a stage when he watched it every day and I was raging I had given them away!

We have loads of brilliant CARS stuff when he had his cars stage as that fell on a birthday so he has everything, but now he's into marvel heroes and sometimes to be honest I worry that it dosen't go to the right people when you give stuff to charity!

Anyway I have a mountain of dishes as we got home last night just in time for The Apprentice so I didn't do anything!

So Dejavu list

Sort Kitchen
ring make docs appt for me & dd1 (bloods)

OP posts:
alicecrail · 08/06/2009 11:13

superwasher (can i call you clairybee? Sw just brings images of of this fat woman with an apron, red hands and a basket of washing constantly resting on her hip ) I sorted DD's toybox this week and split it si that half her toys are in her room and the other half are in the living room. A friend of mine has a box for each type of toys, one for lego, one for trains etc so that even if they all out at the same time, they all go back into own boxes and nothing really gets lost.

PlumBumMum · 08/06/2009 11:28

I do that Alice, its brilliant for tidy up time even dd2 know which box is for each, just need to implement a system that works for dd1 (I dread to think what she will be like as a teenager)
Although she was brilliant last night she put all my Tesco shop away so I could eat my dinner before Apprentice came on

OP posts:
SuperWasher · 08/06/2009 11:29

Yeah call me clairey

I have the ikea trofast and I love it (a bit too much ) for being able to sort out all the toys into different boxes but it doesn't help when dh the dc just shove stuff in anywhere or when ds has put stuff in the bin/buried it in the garden. I'm trying to be really strict and make them put one thing away before they start playing with anything else but that seems to involve supervising them a bit too much

Comewhinewithme · 08/06/2009 11:43

I want a trofast are the really really good ?

Hi PBM I gave all dd2's dora stiff away and she had tons then dd4 became obsessed with Dora and I was gutted that I had given them away .

List

Put chicken in and prep veg

Put pics on snapfish

Check ds new school website for uniform prices

Uniforms for tomorrow

TrillianAstra · 08/06/2009 12:20

Comewhinewithme · 08/06/2009 12:28

gives gentle kick and manly pat on shoulder to TA .

SuperWasher · 08/06/2009 12:28

I have the steppy one and I love it cos I can have some of the nicer toys out on the top too . The boxes hold quite a bit too but it did give me dilemmas when we were given another trainset and the trains no longer all fitted in the train box..

SuperWasher · 08/06/2009 12:29

Trillian I know that feeling, when I was in Botswana I applied for so many jobs (over 75) and didn't get any of them. It got to the point where I couldn't be bothered to even apply

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 08/06/2009 12:30

Argh I have done nothing this morning. DS is refusing to nap - at all - but is grumpy as anything, and I've lost the gold sovereign that my parents bought for him for his naming day.

Bugger bugger bugger bugger

JustKeepSwimming · 08/06/2009 12:32

Hypothetical, yes, can i just make that clear?!

right have just had horrible sandwich at my desk, now going to clear out the stationery mountain and see what's there before we order anymore.
exciting? i know
must remember to do my own sandwiches at home though.

oh and i need more of the loft boarded so i can keep accumulating crap at the current rate, lol!
