Afternoon Ladies

PLUM lucky you with your cook book, share some of the pasta receipes please. DD loves phili and pasta!

JKS you were up baking early.

ALI I'm okay thanks. I've made an appointment with my GP to get things checked out.

Yesterday we went to London Heathrow to meet our friends, one of whom works for Air Canada and is their bowling league across the company and represents London, every year they meet up for the weekend, last year was Montreal. DP is in her bowling team, we had a fabulous day and night, DP even booked us into the Holiday Inn (where the evenings banquet was being held) for the night. I had so much fun I forgot why we were fighting. The canadians were lovely and so much fun to be with. Next year the tournament is in Frankfurt, which we are both looking forward to, and then its Toronto the year after and my parents have already agreed to having DD for those weekends whilst we are away as we made some great friends yesterday.

DP has been back to hiself and so caring etc, he really apologised for being a prick!

Right i'm peed off so excuse me ranting for a bit.
DH doesn't like cream so wouldn't taste the strawberry things. i'm trying to be on a diet before my brother's wedding so ate one but the rest will go in the bin
they were nowhere near as nice to eat as they looked which has peed me off too as i need another idea for the Strawberry Tea.
and ds1 insisted on baking some biscuits earlier and i didn't want to really, but gave in, and he won't eat any of the biscuits either. so they will end up in the bin too again.

and Dh was out for a lunch which i knew, but comes home later than expected and says he won't want any dinner, but only tells me that after i've cooked the boys tea so i can't just have the same as them.

fed up? moi? just a tad.

TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 17:30

Do you feel better now you;ve ranted? I hate it when baking things don't come out as they should. I don't mind eating hugely calorific things but only if they are really tasty!

Muppets very glad DP apologised, as he was being a prick. Have I missed it or do you know now?

JustKeepSwimming · 07/06/2009 17:44

Yes i do thanks!

and yes if something is yummy i can work around the calories but hate that feeling of having eaten something that was not worth the calories, 'wasted calories'.

anyhoo, have eaten my dinner now so not going to do Wii weigh-in tonight. Have put away unpacking, just have to bring in/iron/put away last bits of laundry then i'm on track for the week

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 07/06/2009 18:31

Don't worry ladies the Blossom Hill was sent back with the delivery man!

MM - Sounds like you had a great time, good for you and DP.

JKS - I hate chucking food away, especially if you made it yourself. How annoying. Can you drop them off at DS's school or send DH to work with them? My office is always full of ravenous chaps who love home made produce.

Oops will have to find my proper list. Have been on sofa this afternoon with DS watching films .

Get DS to bed
Filing
Sort clothes and stuff for tomorrow
DS's bag for nursery
Write some cards
Tidy lounge
APPRENTICE FINAL!!!!!

JKS I hate chucking away food too, esp as my cooking skills are getting better LOL.

TA I haven't found out yet, have a made a docs appointment tho.

I can't stand blossom hill wine bleurgh, I normally have a lovely rose by Stowells from California and thats yum - doesn't take me long to polish off a bottle of that LOL

I really need to get my arse into gear tomorrow, mainly with my assignments but have to get back on to B&Q about my wardrobes as still not come and all my clothes are on the floor in a pile grrr

MuppetsMuggle · 07/06/2009 19:05

I feel really silly DP has just gone home, and I had tears as I wanted him to stay - how emotional/hormonal am I

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 07/06/2009 19:19

Chin up MM. Go have a bath or summat.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 07/06/2009 19:19

Right must get DS to bed!

MuppetsMuggle · 07/06/2009 19:26

HMHB - Had a bath earlier. DD is now sat in my bed watching Barney, as she got upset DP left and never put her to bed and read her bedtime story, she cried worse than i did, so had to calm her down.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 07/06/2009 19:47

MM - i know how that feels. Sometimes DS is inconsolable if I come home from work and DH isn't here. Poor things. Crack open the blossom hill rose , although you could get more tearful. I guess chocolate may be more appropriate until you see the Doc.

Hmm....where did I put those Drifters I ordered...?

MuppetsMuggle · 07/06/2009 19:50

Can't drink the 2 bottles in the fridge till I've seen the doc. Also I don't eat chocolate - can't stand the stuff. Am currently eating a sultana scone!

JustKeepSwimming · 07/06/2009 20:05

MM did he leave in a hurry/huff? or just not get round to doing her story?
