i think they used to just add more, take out the worst bits, for a while. then a more 'reputable' establishment would replace the lot every now and then.

Morning

Yes i thought people did that with stables. anyway i learnt more than i ever needed to know about rush mats and how to walk like a noblewoman whilst googling last night

DS2 not up till 8.30 but i was awake early as usual, ho hum. Meant i could shower and get dressed before he got up and do some baking!!!

Will let Dh be official tester later. i had to use hot choc again instead of cocoa. and the offcut of shortcake i tasted wasn't really sweet enough i don't think. but maybe with the strawberries and cream may be. Took a photo so may try and upload later

alicecrail · 07/06/2009 09:30

Well done JKS

I am having trouble feeling motivated about anything at the moment just very meh. I keep thinking, 'oh, i'll just.....' then when i get into that room i just think 'meh'

You did make me giggle with your googling though, i have images of you walking about on your rush matting (whatever that may be) like a noblewoman

alicecrail · 07/06/2009 10:20

Please can someone give me a kick up the arse and tell me to at least hoover the damned living room - please? I am so weak

PlumBumMum · 07/06/2009 11:22

KICK, and I need one returned

I have been really bad this week and I can see the house starting to slip again, precommunion and good weather, washing starting to pile up again,

I didn't do anything last night, read stories then when they were all in bed I watch Sex & the City movie and made lots of times tables work for dd1, she loves getting extra work, I shouldn't complain but its hard sometimes trying to think it all up, so its not too difficult and not too easy!

JKS How did dh and ds1 get on? How did you get on without them, you sound like you had avery relaxing time!

Well I have had my shower so I need to
dry hair
straighten hair
wash & dress dcs
clean tidy kitchen
wash last nights dinner dishes
Hang out washing from 2 days ago
put another wash on
decide what meals to have today as dd1 has dress rehersal for her dance show 3.30 to 6.30, so by the time we get home it will be closer to bed time
Will get pics today of her in 2 of her costumes and the professional communion one can't wait

OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 07/06/2009 11:23

And JKS if you lived near me I have at least 3 tubs of Bourneville cocoa powder!

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 11:36

Morning all. Wow at the early-morning baking JKS!

I want to know how to walk like a noblewoman! I imagine it involves taking teeny tiny steps.

Kicks for Alice and Plum - not that I am doing anything constructive myself.

TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 13:14

Pinot grigio can be good you know. But not Blossom Hill. The stuff we got from these guys was lovely [smug]

alicecrail · 07/06/2009 13:17

I meant the Blossom Hill Pinot Grigio, sorry wasn't very clear

We found a bottle of white at the back of the cupboard last week and it was the most disgusting thing i have ever tasted! Some Italian thing, had to go down the sink, not even good enough for cooking. Obviously left over from a BBQ

TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 13:23

I know that's what you meant, I just wanted a little lament for the lovely wine we broughtack from NZ, and us being so confident that we would soon have jobs and could ship some over as a 'hey look at our proper income' extravagance.

I hate it when people bring crap wine to BBQs because they know it won't be identified as theirs and they can drink the decent stuff that everyone else brought. Not that we take expensive wine to parties and things, but it's always stuff that we would be happy to drink.

alicecrail · 07/06/2009 13:36

I know! We don't spend a lot, but DH is quite into his wine and he always gets something good. I do wonder how many BBQ's some bottles have been to

TrillianAstra · 07/06/2009 13:43

I have some perfectly drinkable Chilean Sauvignon Blanc (Vina Maipo) that was 3 for £10 in Sainsburys this week. It's not amazing but it is fine and drinkable (esp since we have no money). I would of course rather go to Wine Rack and get Villa Maria from NZ, but that's £20 for 3!

alicecrail · 07/06/2009 13:46

We have a couple of bottles of nice champagne but feel there ought to be an occasion for that. Have been on beer recently and Peroni was on special a couple of weeks ago that was good. Lurve Peroni
