How can i spend ages doing stuff and it look like i've done nothing? my desk is full of old letters! have just 'filed'/recycled christmas cards from 2007 & 2008!!!

Today:

• home for ds2 nap & my cuppa in peace DONE
• write to sponsored child DONE
• post letter
• freecycle books
• collect ds1
• lunch x 3 (in garden if sunny)
• garden time if sunny
• ds2 nap
• baking with ds1 maybe
• tea x 3
• boys bath & bed
• me to orchestra (check cash for sitter)
• home & straight to bed, no faffing!

Ongoing:

• get disc out of disc drive!
• get to 8stone 7lbs (new low of 9,1)
• look up family tree stuff on 1911 census site
• photos for boys albums (DS1 2-2.5yrs & DS2 6mo-1yr)
• sort out kitchen drawers & cupboards
• think about sorting out DH's photos too
• dentist trip for me & DS1 (1st for DS1)
• do some work from home to catch up my hours started
• get new transformer thingie for broken kitchen light
• contact handyman re fixing it
• tidy up/sort out/clear my desk of crp continuing*
• get up to date photos of family for new photo frames & hang them on the wall
• ds2 first hair cut soon....
• ring Ikea customer services re missing bits for a chair
• take door handles back to B&Q
• B&Q trip needed to get extra bits of pipe for the pipes where the water butts connect

I am seriously considering moving house, we just have too much stuff and no storage, i am getting so frustrated trying to tidy and all i'm doing is moving one pile of stuff to another place - AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

well Alice i can recommend having a spare room just for the junk, lol

we never thought we could fill this house when we moved in but voila, somehow we have....

have chucked lots of paper out this morning but it makes no difference to the look of the house (except of course for a fuller bin that will need emptying sooner, hmph!).

He's fine, thank you! As suspected he's teething, but it's the worst he's had it so far. Temperature, off his food, waking etc. Got some Calpol for him, poor mite.

Hi everyone

Yesterday didn't go too badly, DS was a lot better so managed to get some hoovering done upstairs at least! This morning I am v.behind because I slept until 11am!!!!! DH is working from home so dealt with DS and left me to it.

Tidy kitchen - done
1 load of washing
Hoover living room
Sort out bathroom cabinet and shelves
Find recipe for DH's birthday cake and buy ingredients
Lunch x 3 - done

Clear up after dinner
Tidy round before bed

ds2 resisted his nap which isn't like him
and ds1 has the attention span of a gnat this afternoon so driving me crazy, argh!

Sometimes a meal just works, do you know what i mean? pasta in sauce & mini milks (plural!) and all is calm again

Taking those door handles back has been one of the things longest on my list, the receipt was over a year old but they gave me a credit note which paid for half of the pipes & picture frame, brilliant.

PBM - i like the kitchen, it's hard to tell what it would be like with yellow. are you thinking the same yellow as the yellow tiles? or milder?
there prob isn't that much wall space is there anyway?

Yeap a whole wall of red I was thinking a milder yellow, in my last house I had mustard
