Yeap I was so glad, but sad at the same time to read other peoples stories, and because my dad never physically did any harm I suppose I didn't think about it too much,

I plan to go to library and get out Toxic parents, have read bits on the internet, think it will help me get some closure(2 years later)

PlumBumMum · 25/03/2009 20:17

It must be hard when youve already got 4 girls, but you'll probably think of something that would never had occurred to you

wastingmyeducation · 25/03/2009 21:34

Evening all! I haven't been doing anything very exciting. Although I did buy a milk bottle carrier thingy for now we have our milk delivered.

I am very of the Wii Fit. DH got Argos vouchers for his Christmas bonus, and we still haven't got one. Every week he goes in and checks stock, and they never have any in!

Families are a definite pain in the arse. I think the older you get, the more you realise how not ok many things growing up were.

DH comes home late, wants me to wait to have dinner till then, we have chinese, yummy but bad for my diet and later than i would choose to eat & end up going to bed later than i want to too. then this morning he mentions both tidying the kitchen & giving me time for a shower - neither of which happens, grr. then i look out and see he's left his car blocking me in. i have a spare key so it's not a huge deal just another annoyance.

Good morning all. DD and i had a day out with friends yesterday which was lovely, but got nothing done!

Cwwm my DD is Daisy Amelia. I wanted Amelia and DH wanted Daisy so i let him have final choice. (tbh at that point i didn't care if we called her herbert fartypants, just had enough of being pregnant )

plum I know what you mean about the older you get the more you realise what isn't ok. My mum and i have never been close and i don't agree with nearly all she did/does. Her and my sister don't speak (not all my mum's fault) but i am always the one trying to smooth everything out. The joy of being the oldest! I hope everything works out for you If you want to chat about it at any time i am always here.

The list:
Everyone up done but struggled
Everyone breakfast done
Everyone dressed not quite
Feed and muck out horses
Sort kitchen out
LUNCH
mAKE A SHEPHERDS PIE FOR DINNER (sorry about caps, pressed wrong button
Put horses to bed
Have an early dinner
DD bath and bed
Wash up
Put washload on
Sew my dress

Oh yeah, and pick my sewing machine up - Its fixed!!!!!!!!

Morning! I've been stressing as DH has been working extra late this week and therefore waking me when he gets in and he's away from tomorrow morning til the early of hours of Monday morning. I shall have to see if MIL can come round and give me some breathing space. It's going to be like this more frequently from now on so I need to get used to it.

CWWM, hope your DD feels better soon.

I'm afraid that'd be me JKS, I'm the worst time-keeper ever! I'm either the uber-late procrastinator or super-organised list-goddess. I'm hoping to move towards the latter!

WME - that is a nightmare if your sleep is getting disrupted . You are lucky if MIL is able/willing to help out!

JKS - I'm good at baking and can make extremely yummy cakes. I'm less good at decorating them, but it's all about the taste right?

I've made a big chocolate cake using a Nigella recipe that has sour cream in it for my Mum's birthday cake, and then I've got a friend over later and had forgotten to buy anything yummy to have with a cuppa so I've just put some brownies in the oven - yum!

Today

Make brownies - done

FAQinglovely · 26/03/2009 13:09

JustKeepSwimming · 26/03/2009 13:49

Ali - that sounds perfect!! i want cake & crisps&junk&chips&chocolate.....but am being good and have very good self-control (at the moment anyway) so will settle for vicarious living and dream of you cake & brownies

Ibuprofen generally takes about 20 minutes to work, hope it kicks in soon for you. If not did you know that ibuprofen and paracetamol work on different pathways, so you can use them both at once if you need to?

JustKeepSwimming · 26/03/2009 14:58

thanks TA - will wait a bit and see....
