Come on you slatterns, get your arses in gear, I stop posting for 2 days and you all start getting lazy................

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 27/12/2008 18:43

didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

  • Get my washing done
  • Dry it
  • Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
  • Tidy and hoover the lounge
  • Clean kitchen worktops
  • Empty kitchen bins
  • Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

I am keeping my head down because I can't tick anything off my list but...

I am so sorry you are being kept hanging FAQ, perhaps you should start refining your list of alternatives just in-case?

I really hope that you get a positive response soon

FAQtothefuture · 14/01/2009 22:04

sorry was going to update just before 8 and totally forget, I've spoken to her this evening and she's going to be my Guarantor .

So I'll drop the papers through her letterbox tomorrow (though she probably won't see them until tomorrow night) and she'll get them filled in ASAP for me

KingCanuteIAm · 14/01/2009 22:05

Yey Yeah Yey Yeah

FAQtothefuture · 14/01/2009 22:09

yes and there are other (positive) things possibily happening in my life at the moment too. I'm keeping it fairly "low" profile on MN at the moment (only mentioned it on 2 other threads) as I'm sure a lot of people will tell me I've lost my mind.

But if you can string this together into any sort of sense (or track down my other posts about it ) you may be able to work it out

Last night - ExH here - apologising
Us - talking lots
Relate,
dinner (or movie?) coming up soon
2hrs on phone to each other today

KingCanuteIAm · 14/01/2009 22:13

Ooohhh.... sounds interesting
Things are certainly moving - in more ways than one

I think you may need a thread for this one too - just to keep us nosey old bats caring mumsnetters updated

pushchair · 14/01/2009 22:15

Grin Grin

FAQtothefuture · 14/01/2009 22:20

no don't want to start another thread about it yet. Still very very very early days, we still don't know whether it will or won't happen. And I know there are many on MN who will simply lay into me and tell me all the reasons I shouldn't, largely because I only ever posted about his crappy behaviour - never about my crappy behaviour.

Lets just say though that the man that came to my house last night resembled and talked like the one I married and knew a long time ago, nothing like the one I split up with early last year.....

MNers don't know me (or him) that well. My BF in RL knows about it and is 100% behind me/us - and she knows ALL of the shit that's happened. So as far as I'm concnerned if she (who is married to her 2nd husband after being a single mum to 3 when she was a similar age to what I am now - but with a nasty abusive exH) is behind me then I'm making the right choices.

There will be updates, but only on a few select threads.
