Come on you slatterns, get your arses in gear, I stop posting for 2 days and you all start getting lazy................

1002 replies

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 27/12/2008 18:43

didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

  • Get my washing done
  • Dry it
  • Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
  • Tidy and hoover the lounge
  • Clean kitchen worktops
  • Empty kitchen bins
  • Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

Good luck today Comewhine with DD4 at nursery. Any news yet FAQ?
I have to tidy over this morning and then bring DD3 to have a check up with HV. Hope they do not ask her what she watches on tv as their answer will be: The simpsons, Family guy and Friends . The joy of being the youngest ! Hate taking her as you feel they are looking for the smallest bit to take you to task on and she is my 4 dc!

ComeWhineWithMe · 14/01/2009 09:12

Thanks Cikecaka ,I know what you mean about HV they do have a way of making you feel paranoid .

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I had spied a Nationwide nearer to where I live in Bristol than the one I currently have to go to which involves mega faff. But drove there, lots of having to reverse back up narrow roads as other cars appeared from nowhere, got DD out of car, endured the howls of 'walkeen walkeen' got to said bank... And it was just one that does investments, applications etc etc. No counter services. How annoying. What is the point in that? Prob won't last long given current climate. Wasted about 1.5 hours quite successfully though....

ComeWhineWithMe · 14/01/2009 13:39

Hi OB and CS
sounds like we are all having quite erm challenging days.
DD got to nursery ok and ran off and left me without a backward glance .
