Come on you slatterns, get your arses in gear, I stop posting for 2 days and you all start getting lazy................

1002 replies

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 27/12/2008 18:43

didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

  • Get my washing done
  • Dry it
  • Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
  • Tidy and hoover the lounge
  • Clean kitchen worktops
  • Empty kitchen bins
  • Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

ComeWhineWithMe · 13/01/2009 17:34

I don't usually bath them this early but just decided to bung them in as soon as we got home from school and get them in pj's ,what you need is a DS who tells you he needs the laptop for important work but you catch him on studywhizz chatting to all his friends he has just left at school [sigh] then you have no choice but to get off MN .

He did just help me cook tea though .

JustKeepSwimming · 13/01/2009 17:44

ComeWhine - that's a great idea re early bathtime we've changed to baths every other day so that i can feel like i have less to do at bedtime. and they don't need it every day....

What a shame she hasn't called back FAQ - having said that, at least she is taking time to consider it and not dismissing it out of hand. (like you, I would be tempted to if I had bad tenants too!)

FAQtothefuture · 13/01/2009 20:52

yea - it's frustrating, but she said she wanted to think it over, and as she had a consultants appointment, and then would have been straight back to Vicarly duties afterwards tonight may have been the first chance she would have had to actually sit and think about it properly.

I nearly died when she said her tenants (who she'd mentioned to me before as being on HB) owed her £3000 of rent LOL>

KingCanuteIAm · 13/01/2009 20:53
