didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

• Get my washing done
• Dry it
• Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
• Tidy and hoover the lounge
• Clean kitchen worktops
• Empty kitchen bins
• Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

I am such a slattern today. Getting washing done and some dried but have no motivation today.

ok have had a totally unmotivated day, (well morning - was out in the afternoon) but hopefully a few "DONE's" next to some of the stuff.

• Get DS3 changed and dressed DONE
• Shower
• Dry hair and get dressed dressed (but not showered yet)
• Go to town to do house stuff DONE (well he came here to collect the money, and then got the link emailed to me to do the referencing application done online as it was quicker)
• Get a few more boxes on the way back
• Load dishwasher and put it on
• Toddlers DONE
• Phone TV licence to get it put into my name
• Tidy living room floor
• Washing (probably 2/3 loads) started
• Get it dried started
• Sort kitchen worktops
• Dinnner DONE
• Hoover
• Start sorting kitchen cupboards

I have been joining you on and off but don't want to post my lists as I'm pregnant (yawn) and don't always manage much! Keep going - hope to join you in the future.

natural - doesn't matter if you don't do much/anything on your list - even if you only manage "get dressed" "eat lunch" it's absoutlely fine

morning everyone, I hardly got anything done yesterday so must try harder today, I'm behind on housework never mind packing, and I should hopefully be moving 3 weeks today!!!!

ermm actually I think I did more than I thought LOL. So shall make a new list. However think I'm going to post it and work on it in chunks as otherwise it's just going to seem like a mountain

OK to start with it I need to:

Ok I feel really crappy so am scrapping the supermarket run on my list and letting them order pizza (tis payday after all ) and it seems a bit pointless to go to Sm today when I have an order coming in morning I will only buy crap stuff we dont need .

ooo I don't need to go all the way into town to send a fax - as I've just done something very useful - I've learned to use the scanner (it's actually printer/scannier/copier) and emailed 2 proofs of address to them

I have also learnt something very interesting - Grafix washable finger paint is NOT washable. I have a blue baby and table. Luckily he had a large bib on, but I don't know how long it will take for his hands to regain their former colour Paint is in the bin.

Afternoon,feeling like s* today, stomach like a washing mashing! Trying not to be a slattern but not able to do much. Have no energy. Have to make lunch for dh, it will have to be very simple

Was fun and good but also good to be home.
Though of course no to do lists on holiday!
Or if there were they would read:

get up - at some point!
go swimming - maybe
go for a walk - perhaps
go for a bike ride - if we feel like it
etc.etc.

but back to reality...

• laundry from holiday, groan...
• remove stuff from our room to reclaim it and find new homes for it (or get rid....) started
• tidy guest rooms started
• get rid of lots of stuff we've cleared out to freecycle/charity shop/rubbish tip started
• ebay/freecycle unwanted presents (sorry, harsh but true), esp ones for the DCs as they have so much already
• Xmas decs put away in loft
• try and find new homes for all new things
• spend some time figuring out new hard drive thing for laptop
• get back on track with weight loss...
• package up slippers to post to sister
• move books from playroom upstairs & books out of DCs new room to new spare room (maybe getting rid of some on the way....!)
• complain to cat sitter/her mum as cats had no food when we came back
• arrange for boiler man to come round on Wed hopefully to sort out boiler (heating keeps going off, was arctic when we came home)
• unpack & rehome everything
• charge mobile & check for messages
• thank you notes re DCs presents, oops!
