didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

• Get my washing done
• Dry it
• Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
• Tidy and hoover the lounge
• Clean kitchen worktops
• Empty kitchen bins
• Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

< rummages about for timer> this must stop

Morning all ,so house was spotless first thing (well downstairs ) because dd's nursery teachers came to visit but now it is a tip due to dd getting everything out and me been so skint (january ) I have just had a rummage under the sofas for shrapnel ,tescoorder came aswell so that is strewn all over kitchen
Anyway just having a cuppa then will make a start.

2nd was very nice, but perhaps too nice (and a bit small), it was brand new, I've have been walking round terrified of damaging anything incase I couldn't "make good" to the same standard iykwim.

The one I'm getting I can decorate to my hearts content so long as it's "tasteful" (as if I'd do anything other ).

All plans for sitting down for the evening went astray, ended up sorting out my utility room. sorted out the clothes into 3 different piles(big piles might I add) for washing. Will keep me going for a couple of days but it doesnt look as bad!!

Yesterday I tidied the dresser drawer! This is a major task.

Morning - I'm hoping for a more productive day today housework wise However I'm going to be out quite a bit - as going at some point to fill in all the paperwork for the house, plus I've got toddlers this afternoon, and then exH is coming over later this afternoon/evening to cut DS1's hair (so really want it looking half respectable by then so he does trip over anything
