Come on you slatterns, get your arses in gear, I stop posting for 2 days and you all start getting lazy................

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 27/12/2008 18:43

didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

  • Get my washing done
  • Dry it
  • Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
  • Tidy and hoover the lounge
  • Clean kitchen worktops
  • Empty kitchen bins
  • Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

God I have been soooo lazy today! DD is asleep but I have been on my laptop the whole time and she will be awake soon! Hoping she will sit and eat some finger foods while I get some stuff done in her room though.

Only think I have done today is cook lunch, which was awful and we didn't eat it so made DD a sandwich.

Need to do:
-Put washing on
-Hang washing up
-Put DDs clothes away (LOADS!)
-Washing up
-Put washing up away
-Put all my internet shopping away
-Advertise my Usborne buissness somewhere online
-Put DDs new toys etc away from her "belated birthday and Christmas" yesterday at FILs.
-Cancel lovefilm subscription that we don't use
-Book tickets for my birthday
-Thank you cards
-change DDs bedsheet
-make up new pot of washable wipes
-Tidy our bedroom
-cook dinner

Another lazy one here too ended up on here all day I am sort of ill though .

Will start again tomorrow .

JustKeepSwimming · 09/01/2009 16:28

FAQ - important Q, have we ever had sex on a list???

I think we should allow it.

I also think i should add it to mine - might make it happen instead of reading book and going to sleep!

ComeWhineWithMe · 09/01/2009 16:28

Osmosis I would put sex on the list too but I'd feel obliged to actually have to make a start on it then again I keep putting mop floors on and never do those either .

OsmosisBanana · 09/01/2009 16:32

yeah, i somehow think it might be the last thing to get a 'done'!

Having said that though, I'm allowing myself off the no alcohol in January leash tonight as I've been a Very Good Girl so he might get lucky!

cikecaka · 09/01/2009 17:11

ooo just seen your question JKS - I don't know - perhaps we should put it out to vote among the member .

Although I say no as I could never put it on my list as I'm decidedly single

JustKeepSwimming · 09/01/2009 18:43

Osmosis - well yes and no.........it's a "new" list in that you post it that day, but perfectly normal to have most of yesterdays list items on it

OsmosisBanana · 10/01/2009 11:00

Phew, would hate to think I had fallen at the first hurdle... Now that would be out of character!!!
