didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

• Get my washing done
• Dry it
• Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
• Tidy and hoover the lounge
• Clean kitchen worktops
• Empty kitchen bins
• Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

Unfortunately not sure if DS3 is going to have a nap today......we're having lunch now - have to see how he behaves as to whether any more of my list gets done this afternoon or tonight.

Noooooooooo - there's no way DS3 is going to have a nap, he's wide awake and has happy as larry - there goes my "childfree" time in the afternoons .

Doubt there'll be many more updates from me until after I've picked the other 2 up later.........

but refusing to give up on career in either education or social work- graduated last year to do pgce, 2 X asd diagnoses got in the way but I will get there and voluntary work will be a stap

Oh Peachy - i'm trying to get out of teaching I have lost my faith in system and i am fed up. However i did find it satisfying job before I had DS I out my all into it, for many years in fact so the profession has served me well but i looking for a change. Id love to be and education officer in a museum or alton towers some where like that. All the best them CRB forms are long and serious!

BIG ANOUNCEMENT - I have done 2 hours work of the domestic kind. I dont feel a fraud anymore just a very very slow to get started slattern. Never a morning person me never. Now coffee N fag of to gym. I am going to continue with list later.

what's the degree bigbad? Mine is world religions. Not that ueful a degre in the world on non teaching but have a good background for social work.

Didn't do the CRB forms; ds1 xcame home and announced he ahd invited two freineds over tomorrow which caused panics as car in garage (£800- eeeek) and not enough food in. never mind, sorted now. Well, after a 2 mile walk to Butchers tomorrow. Up a hill. IN a cold aprt of Wales.

ok - have done nothing more tonight, it's been too bloody cold to be faffing around in the kitchen (which homes the boiler, but is otherwise freezing unless the oven is on).

Morning not been around for a few days but dp did do a massive clean up so just needed to potter round .He has changed hours too so he w takes the 4 big dc to school gives me more time in morning .
