New here and a keen, often ruthless, declutterer (but also a buying habit). So a lot of Stuff Management experience.
I moved house a year ago and now have a garage for the first time (but no car) where a lot of stuff is living pending major works next year. It's been a little bit like 'Sort Your Life Out', having the garage and seeing a lot of previously hidden/stashed away stuff.
Decluttering destinations include 1) Freecycle, 2) a big charity shop 5 mins away which takes most things, even slightly chipped things, 3) a friend who is a busy Vinted seller so she's taken a huge lot of clothes and I'm giving her a good percentage of sale profit, 4) ebay, 5) local auction house for stuff too difficult for ebay like framed pictures.
I have an enclosed porch which is the holding area for stuff on the way out.
For while I had a big pile of old textiles, including the old curtains from the house I bought, grey white towels, ancient stained pillows, fleecey things covered in cat hair - was planning to take to the recycling tip but then read that a lot of the rag-level textiles don't get recycled. So I just put it all in the rubbish bin.
One category of stuff which is hard to get rid of is stuff guests leave behind at an Airbnb short let property I have. They leave nearly full toiletries, herbs and spices, etc. Some I can use, most I can't - I can't use three jars of cinnamon or chili flakes, and the quantities aren't enough for Freecycle.
