I got there in the end. My computer keeps freezeing so am going to try and do some technical system checking stuff?
The dc's have been fighting since getting up, they are both now biting and scratching, but that's a whole new thread.
Anyway i have to
Finish with breakfast
Clear up and shine sink
put w/m on
get everyone dressed.
s&s bathroom
Do the 'thigh trainer', before i have to wear tracksuit trousers because i can't fit into any of my jeans.
Nuts hope the school manage to find a reason and solutions to manage DS1's behaviour problems.

Morning

Nice to hear from HN last night, I hope things work out with your ds x
Thanks for the thread Shanna

I've been woken loads of times in the night and am feeling groggy this morning. Dd has been sick again - she had some water in the night so that came back up again an hour or so later (sorry - TMI this time in the morning?!) She's alsleep again now - lucky her!
The cat also hurt himself last night and so was crying and making a fuss half the night - he seems fine so far this morning though so I'm not sure what was going on there. I'll keep an eye on him today.

My morning routine is almost done. I hoovered the living room yesterday but am tempted to put the sofas out and do behind them today (dread to think what I'll find )

Well, had better get ds up and ready for school.
Back later

Ludaloo · 29/02/2008 07:42

Morning All

shannar thatnks for the thread....I am also in jogging bottoms this morning...off to the gym while the kids are all at school/nursery.

bianca poor DD, I do hope it clears up quickly for her.

HN lovely to hear from you too, although you do sound as though you are having a pretty rough time
I hope your DS settles at his new school.
{{{HUGS}}} for you xxx

Well the kids got me up at about 5 to 6 this morning!
I'm up, washed, dressed and my hair has survived the night thankfully!
(I usually have it cut, but can never ever get it to look the same again!!)

Gym this morning, then back to pick up DD2 and grab some lunch then go and watch the older two perform for the Eistedfodd.
Another full packed day! (My poor house!)

Catch you all later

scattyspice · 29/02/2008 07:42

Mornin all.

Nuts - my heart goes out to you, what adifficult situation. Tell your Dad to get stuffed. Take all the help you can get. I hope it works out for you and your son.

DH helped me with the dusting last night , I think he quite liked my feather duster thingy!

This morning, washing machine going, one DC up, need to get all the stuff together then we're off.

Looks like a busy day and no MN at WE so have a good a day and see you Mon.

TheMadHouse · 29/02/2008 08:09

Morning all

HN my thoughts go out to you and I hope you find a resolution that is good for ALL of you. My mantra for the new year was "I am not responsible for my mothers happiness" replace with parents and repeat after me.

Bianca I am so about DD and the sickness. I do hope it improves

Luda Enjot the child free time and the Eistedford

Shanna you have my sympathies about the PC. I lost all my e-mails and stuff a week ago - pants

Well in casa del Mad this morning, we were up at 6.00 and we are off to Music and movement this morning then back for lunch and DS1's nap (he is teething, so a little grumpy) and then off to a friends for coffee.

I MUST ring the TD man again - arggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

intravenouscoffee · 29/02/2008 08:52

Morning all and hugs to all who are having a rough time at the moment.

Tired this morning as DD woke up twice last night and then decided to get up at 6am so feel as if I've been awake for hours. Basics all done though and most of weekly chores also finished so hopefully can make the most of DH having a weekend off and have some good family time. Have managed to get a babysitter for tomorrow night so we can go out, like grown ups do. I know how Ruby felt last weekend

BTW, did someone say they had a recipe for bird feeding cakes? Can't remember who it was but if anyone knows one could they post it for me? Hope you're all having a good morning

TheMadHouse · 29/02/2008 08:57

Morning all.
HN Hope things improve with DS now you are getting help with him.
Bianca Hope DD feels better now and you don't get ill too.
hello to everyone else!

I couldn't get to sleep last night. I had an idea and couldn't stop mulling it over!

I am thinking about giving DS2 my bedroom and getting a sofa bed downstairs for me. At leat they will have room to play then. i don't really use my room for anything other than sleep!
Am i mad? Is it a daft idea? i can't decide!

TrinityRhino · 29/02/2008 11:19

hi tortoise
It depedns on whether you really dont mind not exactly having a place of your own

or would givnig a room to ds2 mean more to you than that
sounds like a very nice thing to do for your children

tortoise · 29/02/2008 11:27

I would be happier knowing the boys aren't squished in a room together with no room to play.
DD's room isn't much better but they have toys downstairs.
Guess it would mean putting duvet and pillows upstairs everyday! Could get dressed in bathroom.
I still don't know what to do. Would need a good sofa bed too!

BiancaCastafiore · 29/02/2008 11:50

It's not a bad idea Tort, just depends on how you fell about loosing your space. Do you just use the room for sleeping in? Will you mind as the kids get older and are awake later that you can't go to bed till they're in bed?
We used to have a sofa-bed when I had a little bed-sit. We had some bolster cushion covers which fitted our duvet, pillows etc into during the days and then were used as cushons by day, it worked pretty well (I was pretty slack at packing the bed away though tbh! Pre-children days...)

Trinity you did your morning routine really quickly in the end - I'm impressed!

tortoise · 29/02/2008 11:55

I go to bed pretty late anyway. And hopefully, by the time they are out all hours, we won't be living here!
It might even make me tidier. front room would have to be tidy at night to leave room to get bed out lol!
I do only use my room to sleep in at the moment.

BiancaCastafiore · 29/02/2008 11:59

worth having a decent think about then...
Hasn't Jas recently done a similar thing? She may be able to help

tortoise · 29/02/2008 12:03

Just been looking on Ebay but no sofa beds local to me. Could try freecycle but a bit worried about condition from there!

BiancaCastafiore · 29/02/2008 12:10

We still have our old sofa bed as a sofa in the playroom - dd has asked to sleep in it today but it's sooo old and uncomfortable I don't think it's suitable to ever be slept on again! Unless you get a really decent one I think they become lumpy and uncomfortable quite quickly...ours was bought as a spare bed originally and so never intended to be slept on every night for several years as it was in the end.
