Same problem here TR. Plus cheap charity shop near by! I can't decide what to get rid of either so it just gets rammed into the draws until they really don't fit!

FunkyGoldStar · 29/02/2008 13:50

Throw it out if anything is:
1 - Stained
2 - Out of shape
3 - Unworn as DD doesnt like it
4 - you dont like it

FunkyGoldStar · 29/02/2008 13:53

DD1 just got into our top choice school in the next county. About 15 min drive every morning which is a pain but by far the best of the bunch for her, and a relief as she didnt get into our 1st choice in our own county!

TrinityRhino · 29/02/2008 13:54

woot congrats

tortoise · 29/02/2008 13:55

Afternoon evryoen

Why is it when you want to rush around town you meet everybody you know and they want a chat?
Not much FLYing done htsi morning.
Changed DD's bedding & remade bed.
Have got to buy a nw carpet sweeper, hoovered yesterday living room carpet filthy already, especialy around dd's table & ds's high chair.

Did thigh trainer as couldn't fit into my size 12 jeans that i was soo proud i got into last summer

I am worried that i am really tight with buying dc's clothes. Their drawers and wardrobes are half empty. Think we will have to make more of an effort in the summer, especially as DD is getting older.
Trinity how old are your DC's?

Have just looked at the clock have to leave in 30 mins, need to clear up kitchen and have some quality DD free play time with DS.

Tort I wouldn't, friend did it DC's ended up back in together as they missed each other and she couldn't sleep on a sofa bed.

Will be back later for a better chat.

The hassle of doing/drying/stowing laundry is enough to get anyone down. [hugs] to Babbyjjbabby

Grouchyoscar · 29/02/2008 14:40

or Babyjjbaby

babyjjbaby · 29/02/2008 15:03

sad cos i didn't want to sell it but it was to big for the room and the travel cot u can't fit as many toys in so more mess lol

TheMadHouse · 29/02/2008 15:19

Oh BabyJ dont be sad. I never used one anyway so it was a waste for me

I have done the ironing
Wrapped mothers day pressies. Apron with handprints on and a small £5 pressie
Sorted mothers day cards
Polished dinning table and kitchen table
hotspot on dinning table.

Oh I have a system with the laundry. I iron upstairs and then it goes straight in to the drawers. So wash adn dry downstairs and then up in one basket, ironed and popped in to piles and then during bathtime I pop away.

It is so satifying to have an empty laundry basket

DS2 is still napping - so I must wake him, he has been down since 12.15 ekkk

Wow the wind is so strong

Grouchyoscar · 29/02/2008 15:22

Sorry Babyjj wrong end of stick there but sympahies as I remember parting company with a babydan. It was wonderful but too big and when Ed could drag himself out if it, it was time to say bye bye

Bought loads of baskets to stash all Ed's toys in and our front room became an adult's front room again (rather than a nursery)

TheMadHouse · 29/02/2008 15:29

Oh and Congratualations FGS - does she start in September and where do you live [nosey emo]

FunkyGoldStar · 29/02/2008 15:47

Thanks Guys. yes, DD starts in September.

Shanna - nothing wrong with having the right amount of clothes. As long as they dont run out...

babyj... dont be sad about getting rid of the babydan. As they get older the toys get smaller

babyjjbaby · 29/02/2008 15:52

thats my problem the toys he has got are so big they are always out i have got a mid sleep er just so i didon't have to sell his toys just from what i can remememcber he has got a fisher price rollarounds dinasaor dancin bandstand rocking cow vtech walker mamams and papas walker playgym vtech ball toy gobble and go hippo and loads of toys in boxes which i need to sell a bit of but people don't want to pay for the stuff

Ludaloo · 29/02/2008 16:31

Hi all Just a quick post to blatently brag about my fantastic children!!

DD1 won 1st for singing in her year, 1st for her recital and 1st for handwriting!!!
DS won 3rd for his collage, 3rd for a picture about wizards and 3rd for his recital!!
What a clever pair they are!

The Eistedfodd lasted a whopping 4 hours! DD2 should have been given a rosette for sitting still and keeping quiet that long!

Have to dash again now...supper is bubbling away, catch you later

Ludaloo · 29/02/2008 16:32

(p.s the kids did EVERYTHING in welsh...which makes me even more proud, especially DS as he has only been going 2 months!)

BiancaCastafiore · 29/02/2008 16:35

aww Luda that's great! Well done to all three dcs Is this the event you have to make soup for?

Congrat re the school FGS great news

My dd saeems to be feeling better - she's been doing cartwheels in the living room for the past hour or so

dh is home from work early I'm hoping we'll be able to have a nice supper together once the kids are in bed.

sushistar · 29/02/2008 16:36

Trinity - would it be worth writing a list for each dc of what you think is a reasonable no of clothes? (eg for gecko, 7 sleepsuits, 10 vests, 4 dresses etc etc - or whatever you think). Then find the 7 best / favorite sleep suits, decide on a 'sleepsuit drawer' to put them in, and then any others get bundled up to sell on / give away?

Well, we went out for coffee, ended up out for lunch, got home (via the shops) so no housework done yet! And ds doesn't look like he'll let me either

I'm so tired of living in a mess

Ludaloo · 29/02/2008 16:48

Thank you Bianca

No...we have to make soup..or cawl next wednesday...for Cawl a Chan (Soup and song)
That's organised for the nursery.

TrinityRhino · 29/02/2008 16:53

ack home from school pick up

still haven't put more clothes upstairs
