morning saga

I have been up alot of the night with a thumping headache along with feeding gecko
I'm currently shivering and half asleep

I'll check in in a while and let you know if I manage to get myself going

Ludaloo · 26/02/2008 07:40

Morning Saga Thanks for the Thread

TR Ohhh poor you, sounds like you need some rest, hope you feel a bit better soon.

I have been looking on NHS Direct, and speaking with my SM, it does look like dad has had pleurisy of some kind. Which, when you read up on it, isn't that bad. It is an infection of the fluid around his lungs. Looks like the antibiotics will do the trick hopefully. He does however have to go back to the doctors today, so they will confirm I suspect.

Well, all the kids are at school/nursery this morning, so DH and I are going to pay our neighbours wife and daughter a visit this morning. Take some flowers and a card, and let them know we are thinking of them.

Then it is back to the house, and back to my spring cleaning.
Have to also sort out stuff for gardening club this afternoon.

See you all later xx

TrinityRhino · 26/02/2008 07:52

Morning all
sagacious good idea, tidyign toy boxes. Think I should be able to get rid of another one. Actualy 2 if i actualy get rid of DD's teddies instead of putting the ones she admits to not wanting (most of them) in abox because i think they are soo cute.
i love anything Sci-fi too, esp. doctor who & torchwood 'Captain Jack' Hope you're not getting ill.
Tort hope DD1 feels better soon, hope you have a better start to the day today.
Luda glad your dad is ok.
Welcome Minkus & sushi Dream i'm sure i'm going to need this thread to keep me FLYing for ever
Jingely hope you got your bathroom sorted out
washalot keep going with the 15mins. yes writing down the routine does help as you have something to refer to and motivate you.
Hope I haven't missed anyone, the threads are so long now takes me ages to type a post.

Today have no washing to do. Have my course so will be at playschool all day. Really enjoying the course and ds loves the 2hours in the creche.
Today am going to wash the kitcghen and b\throom floor.
Dust in living room
Maybe clean the bathroom.
DS wants his breakfast so had better get moving.

TrinityRhino · 26/02/2008 07:59

morning shanna
no prob
thanks, I dont want to give in to the crappy way I'm feeling

I have packed dd2s bag and the big kids are eating breakfast

FunkyGoldStar · 26/02/2008 08:04

Morning Guys,

In the middle of breaskfast frenzy so will post routine later but wanted to say trinity just do the basics. When you are ill you have to prioritise.

  1. Eat something. Even if you dont feel like it. Or have some fruit juice. If you dont eat you wont function.
  2. Take something for your headache.
  3. Make DDs lunch.
  4. Then get her clothes. If she wears yesterdays trousers so what. She'll survive.

Then think about the housework.

If you dont look after yourself then looking after others is twice as hard. That's why I had my meltdown the othernight as I was so ill and trying to do everything for everyone but me

ludaloo Pleurisy is not so bad. Hope he improves.

Back in a bit with my routine.

TrinityRhino · 26/02/2008 08:06

we'll have to leave early and pop to the shop for something for her lunch

I have her clothes ready

I should wake gecko really but only have toast to offer her
I have taken something for my head, not doing anything yet though

dont look at me like that FGS

DontDreamItBeIt · 26/02/2008 08:08

  4. Empty dishwasher - done
  5. Feed cat & fish - done
  6. Check calendar - done

intravenouscoffee · 26/02/2008 08:26

Morning all.
Dream - cake is amazing. So impressed and at your cake making talents
Trinity - sounds like you're doing really well with morning routine. Like everyone says if you're feeling rough only the absolute essentials matter.

We've been up since 6.30 cos DD slept through rather than waking at 5.30 like she usually does and then going back to bed after a feed. This means I've had 8 whole hours sleep. In a row. Without getting out of bed or anything. Almost feel like a normal human being

So, morning routine
Up and dressed
Washing on done
Breakfast done
Wash dishes, wipe highchair and table done
Wash and dress DD done
2 min hotspot

So far, so good. Need to have a shower and get dressed when DD goes for her nap and then do hotspot. Will check back later

intravenouscoffee · 26/02/2008 08:28

Hi Trinity - yeah, paracetamol and nurofen are fine together and actually both work better when taken together so hopefully should help.

TheMadHouse · 26/02/2008 08:47

Morning All

Trinity - Wake Gekco - toast is fine and yes to the neurofen. You will find mornings easier once you get an evening routine in place. I bring down their clothes the night before and pack any bags that we may need - it is a life saver

Morning routine - All done

Up and dressed
Beds Made
Downstairs brinds opened
Dishwasher Emptied
Boys dressed
Breakfast for all
Breakfast pots washed
Dinning table and high chairs cleaned
Load in the washing machine

We are off to mums and toddlers this morning and I have to see my Phyco Consultant at 11.30, my friend who broke her back is going to take DS1 home and give him lunch. I am going to take DS2 with me and then cancell my CBT which was after.

TheMadHouse Task for this week is to give the littleones a card and get them to decorate it for Nannas and Grandmas for mothers day. Mine did one each yesterday - saves a fortune so I do not have to buy one for them.

We also did a handprint apron at our community todler group and they were £5 so that is their monthers days pressies sorted.

TheMadHouse · 26/02/2008 08:47

Oh and Trinity were do you live?

FunkyGoldStar · 26/02/2008 08:54
  1. Swish & Swipe en suite bathroom - did downstairs loo instead.
  2. DRINK SOME WATER - done
  3. Think about what you want for dinner - looked in fridge and we have enough
11. 5 minute room rescue - will go and do living room now.

Then going to get girls dressed and think about heading out.
