I think argos have special next day delivery for stuff they have in stock? Also, Tesco Extra stocks washing macienes you can take away that day, but don't know if you have a car etc?

I have -
put washing on
hung nappies out to dry
fed and changed baby
hoovered the living room
rearranged the living room furniture cos we've got a new sofa coming today!
Still loads to do, but hey, it's a start!

PuppyDogTails · 26/02/2008 12:58

I've been very good - looked on Which, found the best buy, searched on line, found the best price, Co-op are delivering it tomorrow , phew! I had visions of having to go to the launderette which I haven't done since I was a student. Ruby the JL ones are Which best buys too, they just couldn't deliver for a few days. Thanks for all your tips!

Back to the chores then. The lounge is quite good for me, because of DS's clutter it gets tidied up every evening so it's never in too much of a state. A few small hotspots to attack but nothing major.

Lots of new names! I'm sure it's the recent FLY-bashing that's brought them here! Puppy - hope you manage to sort washing machine out. Ruby - did you have a nice date night?

I need to: put dry laundry away, clear out a load of clobber that's ended up in the bath and
clean the toilets.

Ok, have listed some stuff on ebay (not housework, but still productive!) and now I'm goine to eat lunch. Sofa's still not here!

Bewilderbeast · 26/02/2008 13:23

Afternoon all

TO do

make birthday cake for my mother when I get home!

sushistar · 26/02/2008 13:40

Lunch eaten - the yummy veggie soup which I made a big batch of yesterday! [smug]

Baby's crying, no housework for a bit now.

Ludaloo · 26/02/2008 13:45

Hi all,

Not long got back. Went to pay our respects to my neighbours, his wife seems strangely together considering, but TBH I don't think it has kicked in yet
His funeral is on Thursday so we will be going to that.

Dad has had the all clear from the doctors, and she suspects it was peurisy, so that is a relief. He is a lot better today.

House is a pig sty...wasn't here all day yesterday, and been out all morning today, so I need to get stuck in.

walking up to gardening club later, so have about an hour to make the place a bit more bareable!

See you all later

Janni · 26/02/2008 13:58

Glad your dad's OK luda. I sometimes forget to prioritise DD amidst all the grimy housework so my next to do is:
1)read to DD
2)make shopping list
3)write new 'routine' - the old one's too much for me as I am fundamentally VERY lazy

Minkus · 26/02/2008 14:07

Thanks for the swish and swipe definitions- haven't got that far in the baby steps bit yet (don't think I ever got that far last time round either )

Have washed and pegged another load of washing, nice blowy day here in Herefordshire.

Do you all wash and dry your shiny sink? If I did this religiously I think I would get through about about 4 tea towels a day, am I missing something?

TheMadHouse · 26/02/2008 14:09

Afternoon All

I now have a plan in place for the reduction of my medications, so this time next year I should be medication free.

I also have a workboook to complete on the road to my recovery and spoting symtoms and signs so it should hopefully never get this bad again

DS1 and me are making a triffel to Dinner and spag bol.

DS2 is napping and then we are going to go for a walk and play some games.

Grouchyoscar · 26/02/2008 14:27

Good news about your dad Luda

Hello All and welcome to Trinityrhino This is the place to be for housework help and everyone is wonderfully friendly. I love it here.

Sorry I missed yesterday. I was at work all day and had a hospital appointment with my specialist nurse. I was in bed and asleep before 8pm! (I need a lightweight emoticon.)

DONE

Up
Washed
Medication
Brush hair (It needs a good cut)
Wash Ed
S&S loo
S&S bathroom
Make his bed, draw curtains
Dress to shoes
Collect drying washing from attic and banisters
Collect used crockery
Downstairs with both
Load TD and run
Empty WM
Start brekkie (Ed has asked for 'special porwidge' (I put bananas, sultanas and honey in it) every day for the past 2 weeks)
Empty DW
Put away
S&S hob
Get bags ready
Serve breakfast
Upstairs for teeth cleaning
Dress Ed for school
Take him to school
Attend Parent /child activity
Home
Refil bird feeder (Greedy little feathery blighters)
Go to community cohesion lunch
Say bye to the people at the school I was working at. (I'm sad to leave but I thinkI will be used again)
Home again
Put lunch stuff in dishwasher
Shine sink
Put flowers in vase
Take wet washing up to hang up for drying
Sort out dry washing to putting away piles
MN time

So I am without work but I have made good inroads into getting the position I want so it was well worth it.

DH is at home. I think this redundancy has knocked him back no matter what he says. He can collect Ed today. I'm having a rest.

The remote control Ed jumped on on Sunday is working now. I've asked DH to get Virgin Media to get rid of the...ahem... not so virginal ladies on the 'Ladies Fashions' channel.

It's the first time I've sat in bed late afternoon for weeks

Janni · 26/02/2008 14:36

GO - yes we had to ask Virgin to remove the 'ladies fashions' too! Hope your ideal job comes along soon.
TMH good luck with the medicines plan.

Next: laundry, dusting, help DD with puzzles

Grouchyoscar · 26/02/2008 14:43

Janni I find a list of 'things to do' quite de motivating. I have a few short 'must dos' then I list 'everything' I do. Then I realise I've done loads and give myself a pat on the back.
uch less daunting IMO
