Hello to the new declutterers!
@Nordicmom - your house looks immaculate - can't believe you have any clutter!
@OddSocksSparklyDocsandDungaree - I photograph instructions from craft magazines to read off my ipad - realise it won't work for sewing patterns but works for knitting and crochet etc.
The reception was fantastic - the Beefeaters gave us a tour and then took us to their private pub for a drink before the ceremony - they give their time up to groups partly to say thank you to volunteers and partly to raise funds via a raffle for a local foodbank which is really good of them. I came home with a print from the pub but will send it to DD2 who is away at school so couldn't come - she loves the programme on TV too
Its not all gadding about here though - I have been cracking on and got DH to bring some boxes from the garage into the conservatory where it was easier to go through them - a huge box of kitchen items, stationery etc went to a local charity shop along with a bin bag of DD2s old clothes. Some of the better items have been listed on VInted/ebay and some of their old wet suits have gone to neighbours or been sold on ebay. A constructive couple of days I feel.
I've also found a use for the odd balls of wool I haven't got round to decluttering - apparently neo natal ICUs like pairs of bonding squares - the idea being that the mother sleeps with one and then puts it in the cot with the baby and sleeps with the other and they swap them over. SO I will sit and knit some in the evenings as a local mum drops them off when she has a bagful. Makes a change from hats for Innocent smoothie bottles...
