Just curious? I try to do them once a week but sometimes I don't get round to it and its 10 days before I change them.

Dunno about Victorian but in the
Middle Ages the reason we had Black Death was actually the human lice (not fleas on rats)
That infested in the bedding -straw Hair blankets furs. as it was NEVER washed.

Think of that when changing the sheets next GrinEnvy

Twice a week since hitting perimenopause. DH does the beds as apparently I don't do them properly, he's very fussy 😂

MrsGatsby99 · 10/10/2021 08:45

Once a week in summer. Once a fortnight in winter. Too busy with work to do it more and also trying to cut down on electricity use right now. It's working out fine.

@vajingleberry

I make the bed with at least 7 bottom sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases then strip them off one by one every two hours and boil wash them.
Excellent! I'm going to start that, instead of every 2-3 weeks which I do now.
NeverTheHootenanny · 10/10/2021 12:35

Every 2 weeks. I’m constantly washing even at that rate so really couldn’t manage to do it more often.

catfunk · 23/10/2021 10:42

Every fortnight (we wear pjs) but I wash the top pillows every week because of my creams, dp's hair wax etc

JackieWeaversZoomAc · 25/10/2021 00:17

About once a fortnight- just me in a king size bed. No sexing. Grin

ColinTheKoala · 26/10/2021 18:37

Sheet and pillow cases once a fortnight.

Duvet cover - when I can be bothered.

But for teen ds' bed, once a week.

Lynne1Cat · 26/10/2021 19:24

Once a week at least, but quite often twice a week

RavingAnnie · 26/10/2021 19:32

Once every two to three weeks. I aim for fortnightly but sometimes run over.

They are absolutely fine for that length of time and don't smell or look/feel dirty. If I've been I'll or particularly sweaty I'll change them more frequently.

Ibizafun · 09/11/2021 23:25

Twice a week

tiredmum78 · 11/11/2021 17:30

every 2 weeks

missbunnyrabbit · 11/11/2021 22:53

Once a month. I wear pyjamas so I imagine the sheets don't get that dirty. I swap the pillowcases once a week though.

noblegreenk · 11/11/2021 23:02

Every 10-14 days. DH and I sleep separately due to me having parasomnia episodes, but when we shared a bed we changed them weekly.
