How often do you change your sheets?

Just curious? I try to do them once a week but sometimes I don't get round to it and its 10 days before I change them.

but i am religious about hoovering the mattress when i strip the bed 😇

purplesequins · 05/10/2021 20:44

every 2 weeks
lots of airing in between

Pieceofpurplesky · 05/10/2021 20:46

My sheets once a week, duvet comer every 2/3 weeks - I have a sheet between me and duvet (and thanks to menopause rarely have the duvet on!)

choli · 05/10/2021 20:49

@vajingleberry

I make the bed with at least 7 bottom sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases then strip them off one by one every two hours and boil wash them.
Winkthat's a bit slovenly!
Borisjohnsonshairbrush · 05/10/2021 20:51

Every Friday too xx

silentpool · 05/10/2021 20:53

Weekly.

ThePoint678 · 05/10/2021 20:57

Weekly for our bed and probably monthly for the kids (who shower every night before bed and haven’t reached a stinky age yet).

vdbfamily · 05/10/2021 21:21

When they need changing. Maybe every 2 to 3 weeks.

Maskless · 05/10/2021 21:29

Once a fortnight, because that is when the cleaner comes and I get her to do all the work of changing the bedding.

I now sleep alone so my sheets don't get as dirty as they used to!

WildWomenDo · 05/10/2021 21:34

@TinaYouFatLard

There used to be a poster who was alerted to these threads as she changed the bed daily!
I only came on here to see if she was still here, I got all nostalgic. The best thing was everyone arguing with her that she couldn’t possibly do that and environmental hand wringing.
Smokeybacon72 · 05/10/2021 21:41

Never as I sleep in a skip with a fox family for company as humans do my head in asking stupid questions

Flup · 05/10/2021 21:42

In my fantasy life I would get into a bed with clean sheets every day.
In reality it's once a week but I love clean bed day.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 05/10/2021 21:56

Every Friday - excited for this week because the winter duvet and bed linen are going on.

Workinghardeveryday · 05/10/2021 22:00

Once or twice a week, both have a bath on an evening and I have clean pjs.

I really love snuggling up and smelling clean sheets

canary1 · 05/10/2021 22:05

Since the pandemic started to change sheets every second day… I guess it began as a lockdown related thing to do. Now it’s just ridiculous but can’t seem to stop it. And am only just about managing the second night. Have become stupidly fixated on freshly laundered sheets🙄

Snoods · 05/10/2021 22:17

Pillow cases and fitted sheet, ideally weekly.
Duvet cover every other week

Scarby9 · 05/10/2021 22:19

Fortnightly....ish

Bluntness100 · 05/10/2021 22:22

Weekly here too., which is really the norm for most people

SilverGlassHare · 05/10/2021 22:24

Once a week.

AnnieSnap · 05/10/2021 22:34

Usually weekly. Occasionally, something comes up and it’s missed and goes two weeks. We have a kings size bed, but can’t be arsed battling with a king sized duvet cover, so it’s just pillow cases, a fitted sheet, a loose sheet for the top (duvet goes over that and a ‘comforter’ (as the Americans call it) over that.

Workinghardeveryday · 05/10/2021 22:42

Sooooo how often do you all change your mattress protector?.....

lisaandalan · 05/10/2021 22:43

Weekly x

Bluejeanjen · 05/10/2021 22:49

One very one to two months

cinders15 · 05/10/2021 22:54

Weekly
I'm a T1 diabetic and change my CGM sensor once a week so I time my change of Infusion sets to the same time and have a "naked" shower with nothing attached! I then luxuriate in clean sheets!!
With 2 of us they get a bit smelly after a week
DH would leave them for much longer 🤮

EverNapping · 05/10/2021 23:02

Only when it starts to smell, or if the dog gets it muddy. And to be honest I've started to accept a degree of muddy paw prints, otherwise I'd've ended up doing the bedding daily.

Duvet cover is ditto. Pillow cases are changed on hair washing night, so twice a week.

I'm obsessive about hygiene in other areas of my life, but I really can't be arsed using what little energy I do have stripping and making the bed.
