Have you done or will you do?

I thought I didn't have much today, but did 7!!! Now to get it all folded and put away.

I've done 2 already this morning and still have 7 to do. Then everyone's bedding needs to be done tomorrow so another 3 or 4 loads there.

BreakfastOfWaffles · 03/10/2021 09:45

Zero. I always keep Sundays as laundry free day.

MaverickDanger · 03/10/2021 09:47

Probably just the one. Although I changed our bed yesterday (no mean feat - super king size on my own!) and DH bled a little on the sheets in the night.

He might be on his own with that one.

GsSar · 03/10/2021 09:47

Just 1, but yesterday and Friday I did 3 each day

supadupapupascupa · 03/10/2021 09:48

Washed and dried three very large loads yesterday. Got one today. And then dreading putting it all away

How many of you are there? That's a lot of washing!
xyzandabc · 03/10/2021 09:49

I assume you have a tumble dryer!

On a good summer drying day I'd get through 6 or 7. But on days like today I'm limited to 3. If it's not raining it'll go outside but I need to make sure I've got the drying space inside, in case it rains or the washing is still damp when I take it in.

WormYourHonour · 03/10/2021 09:51

How do you make so much washing?

I know there's only daughter and me... And a cat.. but I do 2 loads a week, maximum.

Inagony234 · 03/10/2021 09:51

Will have two. Clothes and bedding.

Theoldwoman · 03/10/2021 09:52

If I did that, I would have Sundays and Mondays to do on Monday, so not worth it.

3 adults here
Do 3 loads a week - 2 clothes and 1 sheets and towels.

I do, but never use it. Maybe twice a year? I have very good under the patio drying. Always a breeze.

Two - nappies/towels and clothes

I do about 7 washes a week but I tend to spread them out rather than do them all on one day. Obviously nappies have to be done more frequently than once a week.

Abetes · 03/10/2021 09:54

My washing machine is broken. Huge rattly spin, pop and the smell of burning. New one coming tomorrow but until then everyone is rationed…I’m bizarrely jealous of those of you with washing loads to do today!

MadamMoth · 03/10/2021 09:55

I'm doing one or two a week now because I send all tumble dryable laundry out. Started a few weeks ago. Bliss!

There's 4 of us. So that's 3 x queen beds a week. Towels - we go through a ton. Gym clothes x 4. Work uniforms x 5. Normal clothes, teens always out at night so another set of clothes. Pet bedding. Cleaning cloths. Mats. The washing never ends.

I have 4 loads, but no space to dry anything with it being such crap weather. I'll probably get 2 done today and leave them on the airer until tomorrow afternoon and then have to do the other 2 afterwork

A new machine is very exciting. I got one a few months ago and I'm in love!

I think a lot of people wash bedding and towels once a week or even more frequently. Some wash towels and clothing after every use.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 03/10/2021 10:00
  1. Uniform and work clothes were all washed on Friday, after school clothes, PJs and towels and bedding were done Saturday, everything was dried and ironed Saturday. Theres only 2 of us though and DD isn't doing alot of the groups she did before covid so alot less tracksuits and other clothes to wash.
TheQueenOfDreams · 03/10/2021 10:00

None. I also did lots on Friday and yesterday. I like to keep sundays as chore free as possible.

HalfpastFlea · 03/10/2021 10:01

One, only because we didn't put a wash on yesterday. We generally only do three washes a week unless bedding is being changed and then it's five a week.

How big are some families that they do multiple washes a day?

SheWoreYellow · 03/10/2021 10:05

I did round four yesterday, which was a few days’ worth. Won’t do any for a couple of days now except maybe one set of bedding.

There’s five of us but we don’t wash towels and bedding as often as some people.

SheWoreYellow · 03/10/2021 10:05

I did four!

BigMamaFratelli · 03/10/2021 10:07

None today, although I did one overnight so that's in the dryer now - not sure if that counts?

I'll do 2-3 a day though for the next few days. There's 6 of us so the washing and ironing is never ending!
