Totally random one... I usually do mine for day morning so things are dry for the weekend but wondering if there is a better way of doing this!

Daily or every other day

Hopesorfears · 21/09/2019 00:14

Every fucking day

DelphiniumBlue · 21/09/2019 00:17

Everyday. If its sunny and I'm at home I'll keep washing till it's all done, and dry it outside. If it's not drying weather, one wash takes about 18 hours to dry if the heating isn't on, so then its only one wash a day, which does mean a load every day.

AndWhatNext · 21/09/2019 00:18

Just me and DD in my household... I do laundry washing whenever it's required. Usually once or twice a week.

Game changed when i got smaller laundry basket and could visually see it needed washing.

We always have clean clothes.... we very rarely have clothes that are put away. I've clothes mountains everywhere.

Egg · 21/09/2019 00:18

At least once a day every day.

PickAChew · 21/09/2019 00:20

Every single day. Often 2 or 3 times.

INeedNewShoes · 21/09/2019 00:26

Hahaha Grin which day is washing day?! I'm lucky if I get one or two days a week that aren't a washing day!

When the weather's fair enough for hanging washing outside I like to put the machine on overnight and then hang it out first thing.

zen1 · 21/09/2019 00:28

A minimum of one load per day.

PinkBuffalo · 21/09/2019 00:45

I live alone and do one load on a Friday when I get home from work. I only really wear work clothes and gym clothes!
Every other weekend or so I do towels and bedding which takes it up to 2 loads that week.
Where it's been warm very little washing to do. Seems more in winter when I wear thick jumpers etc

Weenurse · 21/09/2019 00:45

A couple of times a week.
Uniforms on a Friday, bed sheets and towels Saturday.
Then random as required

0DimSumMum0 · 21/09/2019 00:48

Same, seems to be daily here! I did at least 2 loads yesterday and have another 2 today. 4 in the house here. It's never blooming ending!

SnowsInWater · 21/09/2019 00:50

Usually Saturday - a shirts/whites wash first (buying 5 Winter uniform blouses for DD has made life so much easier as she has one for every day), then 1-2 coloureds washes. I will generally put a towels/bedding wash on then during the week,

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 21/09/2019 00:50

Daily

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 21/09/2019 00:52

Whenever there's a full load in the basket, since there's only enough space to hang just over one load up to dry at a time. If I let it build up and try to do one load after another then I end up without anywhere to hang it to dry, so have to tumble dry which costs a fortune and is shit for the environment.

Walnutwhipster · 21/09/2019 00:53

DH does several loads a day. This isn't the 1950s.

YesQueen · 21/09/2019 01:13

Single so whenever it's needed. Usually 2 loads every 7-10 days

DramaAlpaca · 21/09/2019 01:15

No particular day in our house. Now it's only DH & me it's only a handful of washes a week, plus adult DS does one as well.

InDubiousBattle · 21/09/2019 07:16

Every day. I put a wash on every evening so it's ready to hang out/dry every morning.

LifeOfBox · 21/09/2019 07:20

Whenever I need to or whenever I can be bothered whichever comes first.

DD (13) does her own laundry. Passed to her because her solution to tidying up her room was generally to produce several loads of washing, half of which was clean.

MsSquiz · 21/09/2019 07:23

Just 2 adults in our house at the moment and I do a load of washing every 2 or 3 days.
Ironing gets done on a Monday or Tuesday depending on work or plans

ExpletiveDelighted · 21/09/2019 07:23

I do a load most days, put it on as soon as I get up and on the line before going to work. If there is a run of wet weather I might let it pile up till the weekend and hope to get it all done then.

StumpyinSomerset · 21/09/2019 07:29

When I have a day off work.

Ginfordinner · 21/09/2019 07:31

How many people in your family Walnut?

AuntieMarys · 21/09/2019 07:32

As and when. My mother always did it on Mondays "back in the day".

Morgan12 · 21/09/2019 07:32

Every day! I couldn't do it weekly. Unless I built an extension to specially hold the dirty clothes waiting to be washed.
