Totally random one... I usually do mine for day morning so things are dry for the weekend but wondering if there is a better way of doing this!

There is barely a time in the day when my washing machine ISN’T on (3 kids, a dog).

Elodie2019 · 21/09/2019 07:33

Friday night- 3 loads. Whites, colours, delicates.
Tuesday - small load of colours.

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 21/09/2019 07:33

Every fucking day THIS, 2 adults, 3 year old with a new baby baby means 3 bed but the baby has bad reflux so the two us get changed multiple times a day and night.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 21/09/2019 07:37

Every. Single. Day.

cushioncovers · 21/09/2019 07:41

Everyday. Several loads.

Do people even have a specific washing day anymore ?

LifeOfBox · 21/09/2019 07:42

Not that I am aware of Cushion, I remember my mum doing washing on two specific days around her work as a child in the days of a twin tub and it needing her attention.

AuntieMarys · 21/09/2019 07:45

Ah the twintub...Grin

darkriver19886 · 21/09/2019 07:47

Once a week on a Saturday. Live alone and use an airer. No point doing it more than that.

Toni2five · 21/09/2019 07:48

Every day, 3/4 times a day if the teens appear with their baskets! Doing the washing should be classed as a full time job!! 😂

unicorncupcake · 21/09/2019 07:49

I wash uniforms on a Tuesday evening, then change beds and wash all bedding on a Wednesday and then Friday change all the towels and wash those. Saturday or Sunday morning I empty the washing baskets and put it all through, the aim to have all clothes put away on Sunday evening ready for the week ahead.

LulaLandry · 21/09/2019 07:50

I do two lots a week, usually on Mondays and Thursdays because we don't have a garden and I don't like washing hanging round the house all weekend.

binocularbinocular · 21/09/2019 07:54

Every day so the basket is almost always empty, I do have a day off washing at the weekend though - normally a Saturday!

Mumshappy · 21/09/2019 08:00

Every day bar xmas day and my birthday.

Elllicam · 21/09/2019 08:01

Every day, sometimes more than one load.

Hattie78 · 21/09/2019 08:02

Darks x 3 - usually Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
Lights x 1 - usually Friday.
Towels/bed linen at the weekend.
I like a system!

stucknoue · 21/09/2019 08:02

When there's enough, only mine to do as everyone dies their own now, they are adults

SallyWD · 21/09/2019 08:03

What day?! Every day!

Chilledout11 · 21/09/2019 08:05

Everyday. Dh usually tackles laundry. He enjoys it Confused
Once a week wouldn't cut it here. Uniform needs a quick wash and I don't have tonnes of spares (PE kit Friday and two other sets of full uniform)

Todaythiscouldbe · 21/09/2019 08:05

Uniform is washed on Saturday. Football/pe kits on sunday (just because they need to be ready) everything else is washed when it's nice enough to hang on the line.

hsegfiugseskufh · 21/09/2019 08:07

How does anyone create enough washing for several loads a day?!

Usually on a weekend because thats when were home but i often set a wash to go early hours and peg it out before work if i know its going to be a nice day.

cookiemonster5 · 21/09/2019 08:09

Normally 5 out of 7 days. And on those days it's 2-3 loads a day. Never have enough for a load a day then I have too much every 2 days.

Except Fridays. I always do bedding on a Friday. That's the only day where there is always at least 2 loads and it never changes.

snufflebuns · 21/09/2019 08:09

Eaaasily holiday

There's just me - bedding, gym stuff, towels as well as clothes (lights, darks, delicates etc)

Heymummee · 21/09/2019 08:11

Every day. At the weekend towels and bedding in addition to uniform, I’ve bought enough uniform for a change every day so I don’t have to wash it during the week, but as DP and I don’t wear work wear and wear whatever we like to work and also have DS2 in nursery it soon piles up so there’s never a laundry free day.

ThorosOfMyr · 21/09/2019 08:11

Our bed Monday
Colours Tuesday
Darks Wednesday
Kids beds Thursday
Towels Friday
Darks (school uniform included ) Saturday
Whites (week of school shirts) Saturday or Sunday depending on the weather and if I can dry outside.
Plus bras once every 8 days (have about 9 bras)
Hand wash/delicates once a week or two weeks depending.
DH stinky bike kit weekly.
DH work shirts weekly.
So that's daily with an extra 4 loads slotted in as and when. It's very unlikely to go a day without washing a load.
There's 4 of us.

Thelaughinggnome123 · 21/09/2019 08:13

Two of us in the house, 2 or 3 times a week.
