No delayed exit for clutter - March Flylady Thread 2019 for fledglings!

ChicCroissant · 28/02/2019 09:40

What would a combo of exit and clutter be, clexit? Exclutter? Perhaps we should just stick with declutter ....

Welcome to the March Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in March. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

And she wound up with three cold cups of tea dotted around the house.....

Cagliostro · 21/03/2019 16:47

:o

I have showered off the chlorine, put another wash on and got the Caglets to start thinking about what to take on our holiday.

ChicCroissant · 21/03/2019 18:06

Or you think 'I'll reheat this cup of tea in the microwave' and when you open the door, there is already a cold cup of tea in there and you can't even remember when you put that one in!

foxessocks · 21/03/2019 19:33

I can relate!!!

Mad panic at bed time because we couldn't find ds favourite toy (I know! Again!) My head has been in the clouds today Hmm Anyway, turns out he left it at nursery school and his key worker has put it to one side for him - phew! Will have to go back tomorrow to collect it. Luckily ds has settled down with another toy.

Dc were so grumpy tonight, dd especially, think she's feeling tired.

Hope everybody ok. I'm going to eat chocolate now.

Cagliostro · 21/03/2019 19:34

Story of DH’s life, that :o

A couple of other friends are considering taking the gym offer too. So I may have workout buddies.

We aren’t going to be gym bunnies though, we’ve settled on gym armadillos instead. :o

Couldn’t drink anything alcoholic. Ugh!

Came home from work I’ll. been ill all day and had some ginger ale to settle stomach. Since then really warm about an hour later freezing cold so much that I put my woollen gloves on and a blanket. Took that off in favour of dressing gown with hood. Arrggh feel really grotty. In bed at 8:30 already had a nap twice. Going to feelrough for a few days I think.

Some of my house is really tidy and clean thanks to DD inviting her friend. Bedroom a tip as lots of washed but unironed and not put away clothes. They have gone climbing I think.he was travelling with DD so interesting about India. I felt fine yesterday and woke up feeling like bleugh and it has got worse. Will need to get hold of GP for antibiotics.

Hills funny.

BowerFlowersget well soon

Tiring day here yesterday, another 3hr walk with D's to try and exhaust him to sleep.it working a bit (once he's down he's out for the count) but I'm exhausted before he is!!

Not much flying done,"d"p back at work lunchtime

Dd1 offered take the girls overnight as she couldn't hang around til after school on Mondays visit.thus will give them some much needed normality, laughter and no worrying about doing X,y,z case D's freaks.hate myself for saying it but wish I was having a night off /im home alone with ds...

Should get up and actually do something..

HillsBesideTheSea · 22/03/2019 08:16

zoo don't hate yourself for wanting a break. I would be more concerned if you didn't feel like that a bit. It is normal. You are in a very hard situation and sometimes you really just want and need a break so that you can recharge enough to have the energy to return and do all the things.

ChicCroissant · 22/03/2019 08:44

zoo of course you need a break from time to time, as well as dealing with what happens during the day we are back to the thinking time thing again - having to think ahead for triggers, it can be exhausting.

I have weetabix muffins cooking in the oven! As I said, I don't usually eat weetabix because it remind me of being ill (one of the few things I could eat at the time) so it will be a change for me. Could get me back into weetabix!

DH is off work today, so will probably go out again later. Should really stay in and tidy but hey ho.

Back later (and I will report in on the muffins, although I have used plain yoghurt).

Sanguineclamp · 22/03/2019 09:26

AWOL yesterday as v busy here!

Now I've passed my six week post op check up, and can do more stuff, there is a veritable mountain of things to catch up on.

Zoo totally understandable you need a break. Wish I didn't live so far away or I'd volunteer. I know he's back at work but could "d"p not take over for one night? Sending strength and patience and Brew

Hope you are ok Bower? Flowers

Whoo hoo re: gym Cag!

Must dash. School meeting.

Sanguineclamp · 22/03/2019 09:30

Sorry, forgot, cheery wing flaps to all!

Probably won't be back on for a bit as off to see 🐎 finally 💓 and the new 🐑 😂

Lisette1940 · 22/03/2019 12:03

Flowers Zoo. A break is good.

Mount Washmore beckons. Beds need to be changed and sportswear mounting too. But general wash is huge at the moment.

Lisette1940 · 22/03/2019 12:05

Humans need a battery saving feature

foxessocks · 22/03/2019 12:51

I agree with you all! Hope you're ok zoo
Have funsc

I'm tired today, the dc have been getting up early all week,ds was in our bed from 3am onwards last night so my quality of sleep wasn't good either. And it's Friday and I'm always shattered on Friday! Must try and push on to get last bits done as I've been pretty good keeping to fly lady atm.

Ta da
Packed lunch for dd as school trip today
School run
Picked up teddy from preschool
Toddler group
Paid for and collected Easter eggs I ordered locally
Daily routine
Lunch made for me and ds
Decluttered purse

To do
Declutter hand bag
Tidy car
15 minutes decluttering bedroom / dust and tidy dresser
School run
Cook dinner - pesto pasta

Trying to avoid baking again today, we have had too much cake and chocolate recently (I say we, mostly me and dh!) tomorrow I'll get some more butter and milk and then do some. Maybe in time for in laws visit.

Have a lovely Friday everyone.

Bowerbird5 · 22/03/2019 13:53

Oh thanks foxes you have given me an idea- declutter handbags!
Did the penguin ever turn up? I found one but it was homemade by someone ? And I can’t get the other 2 in craft room yet as DD and DH idea of tidying up is to throw everything in there or my bedroom. I get very despondent as I had it almost sorted justa small pile on floor and face paints needed to go in the loft.

Thanks for the flowers.
I am feeling better than last night but still really nauseaous. Had a piece of toast and a small biscuit today. Waiting for GP to phone back so I can ask for a prescription as Secretary wasn’t playing ball though she was much more sympathetic and helpful than the one I complained about who think she is queen of the surgery.
Thinking I might watch catch up on Call the Midwives as I have missed the whole series this time. Loved the books.
Put a load of washing in and loaded the dishwasher as DD and friends left mugs dirty. I couldn’t be bothered washing them so stuck them in there. Very lazy but feel very lacking in energy.

Zoo I wish I lived nearby too as I would gladly sit with him. Could your eldest DD do it and let you stay a night at her house?
You definitely need a break don’t ever feel guilty about that. We sometimes need a break at school because that 1:1 working can be very intense. We either take a toilet break or work around the block to get fresh air and a brain break.

HillsBesideTheSea · 22/03/2019 17:16

SC just take it steady!!!!!!!

foxessocks · 22/03/2019 18:01

bower no penguin still Sad tbf ds seems to have forgotten now!! I'm ridiculous I still think of poor lost penguin Blush

I just want to eat all the food. The dc are having beans on toast and then dh is going to the shop. I've told him to buy me everything Blush

Stilllivinginazoo · 22/03/2019 18:49

Stressed or pms foxes?
Bower aw,you would be like a nanna mine never had (no grandparents here)

Wish I was having the night off.being alone with him when it's evening seems harder work.im used to lil zoo playing Minecraft with him after-school and then after dinner he goes up and does couple of hours in his room( as she's upstairs)watching relaxing scenes, colouring etc...I've not got that tonight, just a very agitated/anxious child wanting my attention and it's starting to make me feel stressed and anxious(I'm ok with him in the day,but now it's dark and we are alone I feel trapped in an anxious environmentSad)
He's continually asking what we shall do as he hasn't got his usual routine/rituals.no way he will go upstairs with out lil zoo around so he's on sofa with me til morning
Girls are back around 1130am
I feel sad and angry with myself I'm counting down the hours til there is some balance here.i should be trying to enjoy time one to one with him,but it feels like that's neverending at the moment as he's with me all day
Cag how do you manage being with cahlets all the time?do you ever feed off them negatively?

Stilllivinginazoo · 22/03/2019 18:49

Caglets,I've no idea what a cahlet isBlush
