No delayed exit for clutter - March Flylady Thread 2019 for fledglings!

ChicCroissant · 28/02/2019 09:40

What would a combo of exit and clutter be, clexit? Exclutter? Perhaps we should just stick with declutter ....

Welcome to the March Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in March. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

You seem to be one hour ahead? Do you live on the continent sanguine?

Lisette1940 · 15/03/2019 22:40

SC lives in the future Holly 😁

Lisette1940 · 15/03/2019 22:42

Any chance of the Lotto numbers SC? I know you're saving me from myself but I'm eyeing up granite worktops and a few million would come in handy.

Sanguineclamp · 15/03/2019 22:47

I wish Lisette Grin. I could time travel ahead to that moment that never arrives when the whole house is clean and tidy Wink

Aye Holly in the land of chocolate, moules frites and beer Smile

Sanguineclamp · 15/03/2019 22:48

X post

Wouldn't it just? I'd be happy with plaster that didn't fall down and a mouse-proof kitchen Grin

holly1501 · 15/03/2019 22:51

Germany? I only guess that because I remember the simpsons episode. Ahhh the land of chocolate Grin

Lisette1940 · 15/03/2019 23:05

I think it's going to be laminate Grin

ChicCroissant · 15/03/2019 23:26

Lisette Grin laminate is pretty robust but crossing many body parts for a lottery win and granite for you Grin

Holly no pressure to post, don't worry about it. Laid back - we are horizontal some days Grin

I am out most of tomorrow as well Blush so will check in tomorrow morning and tomorrow evening. Stuff still out of the cupboard in the living area and will be for some time while it dries out from leaking filter, lovely. There is always Sunday ...

Morning all Smile

I have been a bit absent on the flying and the chat the last few days, combination of work and life! DS’s birthday party this afternoon we’re going sledging at the indoor ski slope with 10 children. Which i’m a bit nervous about!

Lots of house tidying and cleaning to do today as we’ve been decorating our bedroom and there is discarded decorating paraphernalia and dust everywhere

Stilllivinginazoo · 16/03/2019 08:16

Morning.dp has not been murdered. yet...I still have 5 hours til he clears off to work.keep telling myself with all the rain we've been having trying to dig a hole big enough to bury him(he's 6 foot and not a skinny dude) in clay soil really would be too much like hard work!!

holly1501 · 16/03/2019 08:28

I'll be your alibi zoo Grin

Have fun at the indoor ski slope push taking ten kids under your wing sounds daunting mind.

OK this morning ta da

Showered
Sprayed shower down with daily shower spray (do this every morning but forget to write it here)
Fed ds
Watched milkshake with ds

I want to mop the kitchen and bathrooms floors this morning. Heading into town this afternoon to put a new strap on my watch and take a jacket to the tailors to be altered. Also want to get a photo album so I can put pics of ds in. It's a new years resolution of mine which I've not done yet Confused

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/03/2019 08:39

We went to bed last time without doing anything in the kitchen. So i have got up this morning to that. Yuck. Dp cooked and i tidied LR1 so we did do things before bed but were both very tired.

Only dc3 and 4 up so far and both refusing breakfast atm, unusual. Will wake the big two at 9.

Ta da

Put all the pots in a pile
Fill sink
Dry pots away
All rubbish in bin
Spray worktops which can be seen

Pushmepullyou · 16/03/2019 08:52

Thanks holly think I might have over-committed myself!

Need to get moving and stop procrastinating. I am not good at this bit!

To do
Shower
Dressed
Breakfast
Fill car
Tip
Laura Ashley for curtains
Butchers
Find gloves and hats for all

All before 1:15 so I can pick up kids for party

Sanguineclamp · 16/03/2019 08:59

Went to bed having done absolute NO tidying up after soup supper event. Only just starting to tackle it now. DH has though put on first dw load and made bacon butties and DD is hoovering. Maybe some of my nagging protests have finally been heard!

Enjoy the slopes Pushme! Sounds like fun!

Holly not Germany but Belgium Smile

Enjoy your day out Chic!

Wing flaps to everyone else!

Cagliostro · 16/03/2019 09:42

Fucking hell the house is a tip. It would be nice to make the most of the weekend to tidy while we don’t have home ed stuff (they only do their apps and reading course on weekends) however DD has ballroom this morning, and the Caglets and I are volunteering later. So won’t get much done today.

My sleepless Wednesday night has caught up with me even though I slept ok last night. We are all tired and grumpy TBH.

holly1501 · 16/03/2019 09:49

Ta da

Washed dishes
Antibac'd kitchen tops
Took some laundry upstairs
Made beds
Put a wash on
Scrubbed both loos
Mopped both bathrooms and the kitchen floors

That's me done with the chores this morning Smile just need to coax ds away from his toys (think cars, a farm and a trainset running through my living room floor) get him (and myself dressed) and head up town.

ChicCroissant · 16/03/2019 10:18

Good luck with the party push

Just getting the tickets together and all that we need for the day (Science Fair later on).

House is terrible, I'll be busy tomorrow catching up on laundry!

Have a good day fledglings, see you later.

Well done holly

Ta da
Shower
Breakfast
Cleaned kitchen tops
Dishwasher

Going to head out for curtains now. Very very tired today

Cagliostro · 16/03/2019 11:00

Right. DD has put a wash on before she left. Laundry everywhere 😭

Have made a start on tidying generally, am putting clothes away, have done DS’ reading course (we are doing Toe By Toe with both of them) and the biggest achievement, I got dressed 😂

Also remembered to get dinner out of the freezer to defrost.

Cagliostro · 16/03/2019 11:01

Totally jealous of the science fair!

TooStressyTooMessy · 16/03/2019 15:37

Grin at being too laid back for cleaning.

Sounds like a fab party Pushme.

Thanks for links SC.

DD1 has been at a party most of the day and just got back.

Ta da:-
Food shop done and put away
Mini meal plan done for the week
Laundry in progress - it is never ending
DD2 reading

To do:-
Snack for DD1
Plan tea as we had hoped for a takeaway but need to find one we all agree on Hmm.

Sanguineclamp · 16/03/2019 17:33

Bloomin' freezing here. Downstairs has been put to rights. Everyone a bit tired and grumpy too including the furries.

Can't take credit for links Toostressy but agree about never-ending laundry! Smile

Great list Holly

TooStressyTooMessy · 16/03/2019 17:54

Oops sorry, thanks for links Chic Grin. It’s because I was thinking of you SC with your laid back comment!

Sanguineclamp · 16/03/2019 18:16

Well you must be telepathic Toostressy because I have just (rather meanly) abandoned dh & DD who are watching a shudder sci-fi film and have come upstairs to lie down. Wink

Meant to say, hope Science Fair trip went well Chic!
