No delayed exit for clutter - March Flylady Thread 2019 for fledglings!

What would a combo of exit and clutter be, clexit? Exclutter? Perhaps we should just stick with declutter ....

Welcome to the March Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in March. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

Managed to speak to dh about a will last night very briefly as he was studying all evening. We are on the same page about guardians for the dc so that's good, so need to speak to the people and dh said he'd do a bit of research into will writing as well but we might use a solicitor. At least the ball is rolling now...

To do today
Daily routine
Bathroom sink mission
5 minute stash and dash mission
15 minutes decluttering
Errand day - make a dentist appointment

Plus I'm working this morning.

Need to get up!

Stilllivinginazoo · 14/03/2019 07:32

Weetabix muffins!
Verdict- dd2 likes them.they smell weetabixy iyswim but she's happy (except they're still a bit hot so can't ram them fast enough)

Foxes checkout the charity ones. A solicitor rights them for a donation.

I went to bed at 10 and slept really well last night. Feeling much better today. Need to get sorted and out the door by 8:10am see what today brings at school. Could be difficult this morning, teaching this afternoon and a meeting after school then singing comp for choir so won’t be home until late then straight to bed I think. Somewhere in there I need to eat.
Can’t imagine any flying will get done today.

Bowerbird5 · 14/03/2019 07:46

Sanguineclamp · 14/03/2019 09:16

Thanks Zoo! They've risen really well considering there's no flour or raising agent.

ChicCroissant · 14/03/2019 09:34

I will give that a try, I lived off weetabix for ages when I was ill once so can't face it now - but in cake form, it may do the job!

I need to go out for an hour or so, to get a quick fix on DD's instrument! Has to be today, so will brave the rain that is just starting and try to pick up anything else I need while I'm out. Just had a decaff coffee, but may be tempted by a full-force one while I am out and about freebie McD vouchers

Onwards, fledglings!

We are actually selling the play pen sc as she absolutely hated it :( would scream blue murder when in it no matter what toys were in it.

Love the idea of water play. With a towel (we have very impractical wooden flooring in the kitchen 🙄 there was a bit of water damage already when we moved in)

I am so not doing well today. Decided I will have to just try my best with alarms set for the propranolol, I took two last night and I was still an absolute wreck, anxiety just way out of control. Didn’t sleep until 6ish I think.

Still I cycled 4.5k on the exercise bike and did loads of French on duolingo so that’s something right? But I have had 2hrs sleep and although everyone’s left for trampolining I still don’t feel like I could sleep.

Stilllivinginazoo · 14/03/2019 11:39

Those are great achievements cag
Also, just a thought, but diet affects me terribly.i have to avoid caffiene(coke mainly as don't drink or tea or coffee anymore) and sweet stuff really messes with me badly too😞I've read oily fish omega 3(also in flax, chia and walnuts) helps.and good carbs(sweet potato, brown rice, quinoa, wholegrain couscous etc)i do eat oily fish, trying to have it the recommended twice weekly now and I'm slowly switching white to brown but my gut not impressed so I'm using lots sweet potatoes at mo and white bread )

Stilllivinginazoo · 14/03/2019 11:43

Bookmarking.
I've a very neglected (not by me) house to try to get straight. The Flylady routine has helped in the past so hopefully it will again.
Sigh...

foxessocks · 14/03/2019 15:00

Ta da
Daily routine
Shined both bathrooms sinks
5 minute hotspot decluttering
15 minutes decluttering in dd room / utility room

Made dentist appointment

Off to get dd now , some one on one time while the boys go and get hair cuts Smile

Zoo I've heard about angry cleaning but unfortunately for me when I'm angry I find it impossible to concentrate on any task, I'm more of a sit and seethe type!! Good to harness the anger though definitely!
