No delayed exit for clutter - March Flylady Thread 2019 for fledglings!

What would a combo of exit and clutter be, clexit? Exclutter? Perhaps we should just stick with declutter ....

Welcome to the March Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in March. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

zoo honestly it was fab!! I'm rubbish at pastry but it didn't matter because it's meant to look rustic anyway!

My mum sent me the recipe so it isn't a great quality photo but I'll post it X

foxessocks · 08/03/2019 19:59

Got one slice left I've Smile and the recipe if you fancy making it!

foxessocks · 08/03/2019 20:07

Recipe and a photo of my version (definitely not pretty but tasty!)

Looks good to me!

I really have to sort out a cheap meal plan. Lots of batch cooking too.

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/03/2019 08:33

Me too cag! My shopping bill seems to have gone through the roof

Cagliostro · 09/03/2019 09:12

Yeah :( we are a bit strapped for cash at the moment due to DH going on sick pay sooner than we thought. Hopefully it’ll all work out in the end but in the meantime it’s a bit squeaky.

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 09:40

I hate having allergy and dietary requirements as pushes costs up here.one vegetarianone very underweight hates certain textures and needs eat A LOT just keep weight stable, not even gain.lil zoo has to have lots fruit n veg for fibre but not too many wholegrains as causes gut pain, not dairy.no oranges for any one.need test some nuts on little ones as not tried all kinds I eat.yet...

We use lots frozen veg and fruit to avoid waste.tinned peaches, pears and pineapple(odd cans fruit cocktail) I know I could go cheaper but the mum in me is desperate to try ensure get plenty variety to maximize nutrients and give them healthiest bodies for adulthood...

In flying news..
Washing on,everyone's eaten
Start menu planning for coming week

Off to lil zoo dance class shortly.shes still got tight chest/bad throat but temp is down as dd2 is watch D's so it's a rare chance lil zoo have undivided mum and dad time(he don't realise he monopolizes talking when he's around and gets quite hurt when reminded on school run that lil zoo wants chance to talk as won't see me again til tea time)

I can't get my head round how Radford family can possibly give all their brood one to one time(or maybe I'm just not that organised)

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/03/2019 10:06

I cant get my head around her body. She must be a fucking machine. I am literally in pieces on dc5 she has done this over 20 times

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 12:46

I have sciatica with D's(3) and they suspected SPD with lil zoo as my hips hurt ALOT when walking around as got bigger,.(CRUDE ALERT)but surely she just sneezes and they fall out now, right?
Does she ever have headaches, and if so how the hell does she cope?
What if they all drop with chicken pox,flu etc.i struggle all when mine fall these things.and when mine had swine flu I got it's as they powered back up and it was like lord of the flies!!

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 12:49

foxes can you repost that recipe,it's really blurry on my phone

Lil zoo enjoyed dance.exhausted and chest painful.luckily open ballet not to much running around!

Veggie sausages in buns with salad for lunch.melon and raspberries.vanilla cupcakes currently cooking to go with that

Need finish menu plan and write shopping list!

Hideous morning here. Can't get anyone to help without a load of attitude (dd) and passive agressive resentment (dh). Both of whom, when I previously complained, said "you only have to ask". Well no actually I have to contend with them ignoring, walking out the room when I'm asking (politely at that) or their favourite ...sure I'll do it later, then they don't, which leads to me being cross, which leads to yet another argument. (sigh). I am seriously fucked off and disappointed.

And yes, I have now ruined my Lenten pledge not to moan on this thread 4 days in Blush

Blush

Morning ladies! We'll let you off the moaning SC, that's what we are here for. You seem to have the patience of a saint to me.

I slept in this morning, so cooked breakfast and then headed out to DD's activity. Just had lunch (pasty) and enjoying a cup of tea.

link to pie that looks so delicious I may have just looked it up online (cba to post link to Flylady work but no effort at all when it's food ....)

And a slightly belated Launch pad link

Waves to all fledglings

Sometimes you have to rant to be heard but if like my house you just get ignored/extra attitude what gets my host is shoe on other foot devotion is expected.being a mum sucks and blows sometimesFlowers

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 13:32

Sanguineclamp · 09/03/2019 13:51

That's exactly it Zoo! The minute DD wants help with anything, everything is expected to be dropped and full attention given! [Harrumph]. It's hard to bite your tongue sometimes.

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 14:12

choc are you making fun of me? my phone actuallyGrin

SC I find not buying my tongue reduces the behaviour slightly, but does raise my screeching harridan status...sometimes I think chuff it and just go with thatGrin

Everyone's fed and watered,wash up

Really need buckle down and finish menu plan
So far pinterest,FB and something zoolets laugh at on you tube are all distracting...

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 14:13

Aaaaaaarrrrgh
BITING,I PUT BITING NOT BUYING.I DONT BUY MY TONGUE YOU CRETINOUS PIECE OF TECHNO METAL.ID NEVER BUY A TONGUE LIKE MINE,ITS FAR TO UNCONTROLLABLE!!

Sanguineclamp · 09/03/2019 14:43

Grin Grin Zoo!

I completely failed in biting my tongue today Sad. I should have simply said "please move that heavy box from where you have left it on the stairs" but instead I stupidly said "fhs, why do I have to ask everyone to put stuff back all the time, what is a box doing in the stairway?" Then everything kicked off. In my defence, this was after I was very weary of having to ask DH and DD to do really f*ing obvious things all week, and I had found DD and DH sitting in TV room this morning (which we had paid good money to have cleaned yesterday) with cups and mugs and yoghurt pots everywhere, with the floor covered in tissue pieces (shredded by puppy) and pieces of a wicker paper basket (totally destroyed and chewed by puppy) and more shredded bog roll all over bathroom (also cleaned yesterday). No one had moved an inch to bend (something I can't do very well currently) and sort it all out. Wasn't even cross at that really, just the way they both looked up from their phones and didn't say anything, in a really rude manner, as if to say "who is this insignificant fly buzzing around and destroying our peace again, someone please make her go away". Sad.

But I've decided I am not going to say anything or ask for help again and they can both shove it when house is a mess when dd brings her friends home/dh's colleagues pop in, dd's sheets are dirty, there are no clean towels or uniform or business shirts, and there is only junk food to eat. Stuff 'em. Angry.

Sanguineclamp · 09/03/2019 14:50

Back to Flying:
15 mins boudoir
TD on
2 loads washing on
dry towels and pants folded
s & s bathroom

Sanguineclamp · 09/03/2019 14:52

Need to menu plan too Zoo (thanks for reminder) as need to get on line food delivery organised.

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 15:27

If it's on floor just sweep into a pile in the middle of the room SC it's obvious then and if nothing gets picked up instruct cleaner to launch said piles ( accidently add something wanted for passive aggressive/childish revenge optional)
I would've lost my shit at that tbh.when my backs playing up I EXPECT team zoo to suck it up and help and I nag til I get it too!it doesn't mean they keep it up and scenes like your TV room happen often here(yogurt pots, cups, crisp bags, cat destroyed loo rolls aplenty) but dd2 has learned after a fewhundred unsavoury slanging matches mum does need help sometimes and she won't expire if Instagram followers have to wait, but then I'm an evil mum who has decided being a total doormat doesn't get me anywhere and they just wipe feet on me as pass through.....

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/03/2019 15:31

btw,Lil zoo slams doors/moans and ds need toe curlingly slow blow by blow instruction in what I want doing but I get my way in the end!!
