Welcome to the February Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in February. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

Thanks sass the wire popped out so I had to go back to have it fixed and they tightened it too as I was there so dosed up on paracetamol now...
Hope you're ok and feel less stressed soon Flowers

It was nice to have lunch with my mum today and ds cheered up after his nap. Cup of tea then off to collect dd. And I've hung her tights on the radiator!

Stilllivinginazoo · 12/02/2019 14:48

cag what is "normal"? dont think I could qualify as normal if life depended on it

Walked D's to Morrison's (large and stresses him out) as needed items can't get elsewhere
Took him community cafe to wellbeing and we sat playing with gorgeous cockerpoodle pup half hour til he(D's) found it too muchthen we walked thru nature reserve in sunshine to a Tesco express for bottles water and strolled back.
Had lunch and did some colouring together

Chores =achieved none
Guilt can bugger off,I need a break!

Will put a load wash on later(need get some fabric softener first)
And everyone will get fed,so that's a win, right?

Stilllivinginazoo · 12/02/2019 14:48

I really need meal plan and shop for it...

Bowerbird5 · 12/02/2019 18:01

Takes sticky toffee pudding especially for zoo with toffee sauce and cream or custard.

Back home and haven’t started the todo list. Having a cup of tea with the cat.

SassitudeandSparkle · 13/02/2019 00:01

I now want custard ... have just cheered myself up by watching the clip the BBC have put on Twitter with Roy Castle performing live on Blue Peter despite Shep the dog doing his best to get in on the action.

Link to the Launch Pad but be kind to yourselves and sleep well, see you tomorrow!

SassitudeandSparkle · 13/02/2019 09:35

Good luck with the walk zoo, weather not too bad here today it could be nice (but that is a long walk!) Bower it's always the right time and temperature for ice cream in my daughter's opinion - did you get back to sleep again?

Had my coffee and croissant this morning, now time to work on the house!

Washings on

Looking at the mess and trying formulate a plan....

Cagliostro · 13/02/2019 13:39

Well I have an answer to why I have been feeling spectacularly shit the last couple of weeks... I have mastitis! And an ear infection just for added fun.

HillsBesideTheSea · 13/02/2019 13:54

At least now they can treat it and you can hopefully feel better soon Cag

TooStressyTooMessy · 13/02/2019 20:08

Oh no Cag, hope you have some treatment. Star for smear test booking zoo. Love the thought of you sitting with the cat having tea Bower.

No flying done today as been at work.

Big wing flaps to all.

IVEgottheDECAF · 13/02/2019 21:18

Was i the only one clicked on the thread to see if cag was upduffed? Blush

HillsBesideTheSea · 13/02/2019 21:47

Nope you were not ive Blush

Cagliostro · 13/02/2019 21:49

Hahahhaha. I suppose my message was a bit misleading :o

But I’m afraid when people suggest having another baby, they generally get the same response: laughing, followed by a two word phrase that begins and ends with the letter F :o

I am gonna struggle with these antibiotics. It’s a 2hrs after, 1hr before food thing, and four times a day, I am so disorganised I’m not sure how that will work

IVEgottheDECAF · 13/02/2019 21:52

When i have those kind of meds cag i just space throughout the day

HillsBesideTheSea · 13/02/2019 22:42

Reminders on a phone if you use a mobile. My mother swears by them and now rarely forgets to take meds (unless she loses her phone)

Bowerbird5 · 13/02/2019 23:17

Sass yes I did. I slept till 9am😳 best nights sleep I have had this week.

Toostressy...you should have seen her tonight the paw was out tapping me gently.

I unpacked and washed contents of four boxes today.

SassitudeandSparkle · 13/02/2019 23:29

Cag hope the antibiotics work but meh at the complicated arrangements - I'm wondering if they are similar to ones my DD had at one time, I recall trying to collect them from the chemist and then dash to school to get them in her before lunchtime! Agree that phone alarms are the way to go for an easy life.

Yay for a sleep in Bower, must have needed it. Zoo sorry your DS found it stressful and noisy today, must have made it very stressful for you too, waves to Hills, Stressy and Ive (and anyone else I've missed or who is reading today).

Launch Pad link for tomorrow, rest easy and sleep well everyone.

Stilllivinginazoo · 14/02/2019 06:37

cag I confess I'd a disaster trying take meds like those.half the time I forget simple stuff like taking iron meds!!Flowers and hope you feel better soon

I didn't deal with the mess.been lying awake feeling crap about it trying anti procrastinate a plan for today for the last hour...

Happy valentine's Day,or as lil zoo calls it special singletons dayplanning to have something sorted by return from school.thinkning along the lines on a heart in their rooms with why I love them and some kind of themed dinner.how far I get on that remains to be seen tho!!

foxessocks · 14/02/2019 10:12

Happy valentine's Day. Love your dds approach to it zoo!

Dh got me a box of presumably heavily discounted Christmas chocolates who says romance is dead?! TBf, shows how well he knows me I bloody love a bargain Grin

Today it's my first morning not working while ds is at nursery. Decided as I'm between work stuff to just get the house cleaned top to bottom. So what have I done? Quick 10 minute work out, shower, 15 minutes cleaning then stopped for tea and chocolates Hmm Blush not great then!

Also have an interview this afternoon which might be a totally pointless exercise as I'm not even sure if the hours would fit round the kids at all Confused

So that sums up my day so far! I will definitely finish this tea and get straight back to the housework...

Stilllivinginazoo · 14/02/2019 10:20

Good luck with interview foxes
I seriously need clean house

SassitudeandSparkle · 14/02/2019 14:18

Happy Valentine's Day (or Galentine's Day, which seems to have taken off this year), I've had a lovely morning and lots of chocs. Pink champagne in the fridge for tonight

However have done no housework yet

Good luck with the interview foxes

zoo one year I did the thing you see on the web where you put a post-it note on DD's bedroom door (one a day) with what you like about them - we love your smile, we love how hard you work, etc. Obviously I'm a bit late with that suggestion for this year, but if you do ever do it plan ahead with the sentences - I had to remove one post it as DD pointed out it was pretty much a duplicate of an earlier on Blush
