Flying Resolutions for the Fledglings

Ok. 1st of January.

It's a long running thread, but we like new people. Just be aware if we seem cliquey it is simply because some of us have known each other for many mumble mumble years.

Respect. We won't tell you what you are doing wrong if you don't tell us. hint if you tell us we are doing it wrong we will tell you you are wrong

Babysteps. If you are new start here. If you dropped off the fly wagon, start here. Basically start here.

Missions. Do these, if you start with the babysteps you will end up doing these during the course of the month.

Decluttering - you can't clean clutter. But experience has shown that fly lady is good for routines but there are other methods that work better for decluttering. Feel free to mix and match.

Emails - feel free sign up to them. Most of us don't because there can be a lot, ergo whilst you are welcome to sign up for them; we don't generally recommend it. especially as one of the babysteps is to delete them anyway

Linkies. We will be linking to the launch pad from there you can get to babysteps, missions, flight plans etc etc. Be aware that some don't update until the date that they are on (eg looking at the links before midnight on Monday will not show the information for Tuesday iyswim)

MercuryRising · 14/01/2019 18:09

Really glad the Camhs meeting was so positive zoo

Bowerbird5 · 14/01/2019 18:48

Excellent news zoo.

Unexpectedly teaching this afternoon but all went well. Difficult class, some real characters. TA made lovely comment to me😊 and I found I had enjoyed the afternoon and I managed to leave at 3:40 pm which meant I got home before dark. This is where it slips. I made large pot of tea as I have been thirsty all day. Had a piece of stollen and a couple of small gingerbread biscuits. After this I fell asleep. I hadn’t even lit the fire!
Had a strange tea of yesterday’s bargains.
Need to do the ironing but feel more like crawling into bed.
Need to go check out flylady.

Bowerbird5 · 14/01/2019 18:57

Meant to say zoo that is some list. Just pop around to mine tomorrow while I am at work would you.😁⭐️

CamperWidow · 14/01/2019 19:04

Hi guys!
Having now settled back into the routine of work/school/all that jazz, I am back up and running! (Hopefully!)
Ta da's
Several loads of washing done and dried
Washing up done
Tea - family all fed home made meal
Reading and spellings done x2
Menu plan down for this week
Lovely looong bath for me with book!
Bathroom/laundry task done
Weekly plan written out

Phew! I start my TA volunteer work placement tomorrow, so I've sorted out my posh clothes too, so excited!! 😆
So glad everyone is feeling positive at the minute, I usually find Jan so crappy.
Xx

Bowerbird5 · 14/01/2019 22:04

Hi,
Good list.
I haven’t completed mine.
Animals and me fed.
Washed up
Bit of tidying
Failed to do ironing.
Tired because been working. I am a HLTA. Don’t wear anything you might get paint on. I hope you enjoy your day.

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 04:42

Good luck in your new role camper
Thanks everyone,I think today we will discover if school are going to "play nicely" or if it's going to be a fight with attendance team....D's stressed by the uncertainty
Lil zoo woke me at 1,3and 4 asking drinks as raging sore throat and headache
If it's not one it's another!
Am now wide awake as too hotConfused
I swear there's a conspiracy to stop me sleeping!!Grin

Frannibananni · 15/01/2019 05:05

Hi Hi may I join you all.

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 05:36

frannibannani welcome

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/01/2019 06:48
Brew

Around for the day, motivate my arse please

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 07:15

Brewvat for I've and -------))
This is my special gentle stick to shift yer carcassGrin

Lil zoo crying...I discovered been playing tablet in night.she don't know that I know...dd2 has hidden the fucker as not ment be on it any bloody way!claiming headaches really bad,and has sore throat.no temp.throats quite bad,I'm thinking if can play tablet with headache should be going in?
Opinions.tears make me waver as they are never rarely deployed!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/01/2019 07:20

Tricky one zoo if she stays off she may be more likely to do it again! I generally send mind in unless they have sickness / diarrhoea / a temp / bad chest / inability to speak.....

If they are ill at school they'll be sent home

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 07:31

That's my theory I've and I usually have same litmus on can't speak/eat/temp etc
She NEVER cries over it.maybe it's the hormones and lack sleep causing that, but pulls my heart a bit
She normally happily goes in with dd2.crying me to take her.thatd be my undoing I think as if cries all way I'd bring her back...

Think I will send her and if they send back fair enough.if hadn't been on bloody tablet I'd have considered it tbh but she's trying 6 now.once on senior have start sucking it up more...

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 07:32

Year 6,not trying 6!!

Bowerbird5 · 15/01/2019 07:46

Welcome Franni

Get the pointy pointy stick please and give me a shove. Feel tired and aches. Still off for most of tomorrow. See you later.

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 08:35

No shovels bower
I tempted break the pointy stick as I got serious CBA case today...

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 08:36

Oh bower I'm so sorry.shovels?!I'm not trying to kill you and bury you under the patio...I WILL NOT S.H.O.V.E YOU EITHER

Hope gave you a Grin not a fright!!

HillsBesideTheSea · 15/01/2019 08:48

Zoo i'd send her in tears are possibly due to lack of sleep and frustration too.

Hi all, just catching up on the thread. Loved your motivational speech Hills Smile. Had been feeling down as have left house a shit tip this morning but actually it’s partly like that as DH has been doind some DIY which was needed and I have been out running necessary errands. That said I really need the pointy stick to get going so

—————————> Ive, hope it inspires me too Smile. Not in the house atm though so the inspiration will have to wait.

Did she go to school zoo? So glad OT helpful for your DS.

Glad you got appt for yourself Cag.

Did you decide on a Dyson Bower? Into k if you have those hand issues it is really important to try it out first as you say. I’d love a Shark if I could.

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/01/2019 15:39

stressy I did indeed send her and she's not been returned so must've survived the day.expecting grumpy strop mode on return with dd2 as she was sent, plus I rang to ask them to remind her to bring maths worksheet homework she "forgot" Friday and today.iam going to be so popularGrin

I've how much have you achieved and how are you doing generally?

Tada
Menu planned
Popped farmfoods frozen supplies of veg and mince etc.picked up few calorific treats for D's.
Walked him to local shops for fresh items/milk (heroes find this a challenge but if not going to attempt school needs to be in "circulation" I feel (does that make sense?)
Lunch
Wash on
Much needed nap
Wash in dryer
Put last shopping away
Prep potatoes for little ones dinner(mash, smoked haddock butter beans and carrots.yogurtfor pudding (all nice easy to swallow things for madam ))

EustaciaVye · 15/01/2019 19:32

Hey everyone
Welcome franni
Awful morning getting as to school due to anxiety, but got her in eventually. Busy at work so no housework done.
Hope everyone ok. Haven't read thread

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 15/01/2019 19:58

Welcome franni Smile.

We’re getting worried now zoo. Has she done you in?

Despite the lazy, late get up I got to work on time. Two other people said they had trouble getting up this morning. They told ME this information . I wondered if it was because it was very dark. Yesterday there was an amazing pink sunrise.

Just cooked, ate and cleaned up the kitchen. Going to get up and be amazing tomorrow.

Bowerbird5 · 16/01/2019 00:08

SToostressy
No I haven’t bought anything yet. I borrowed DS3’s and although it picked up ok I couldn’t undo it to empty it. DH says the Dyson needs you to keep your finger on the switch. Now that it is clean again I can research.
