Snow day for me. They let me know last night. That is a first!

I have some school work I can do. I have plenty of decluttering and cleaning to do, I found my book cags I will be in touch.
I have an appointment in town not sure if I can go.

When ds got his second choice I felt the same way Cotswold even though we were out of catchment and it was an over-subscribed school. Ultimately he has done fine in the school and it was probably better for him too but damn it didn't make getting the 2nd choice feel any better.

Good luck with what ever you decide to do moving forwards.

Just to update - DD was pleased with the second school. I must have done a good job of talking it up recently! She is going to see who is going where in school before deciding whether to go on the waiting list for her first choice. Without the Council list of allocations on the day it's difficult to see how many the first choice school got.

That's great that your dd is not too upset Cotswold... she sounds as if she is being v mature indeed about it.
