We've filled the first thread, so for the final Fabulous days of February we'll use this one!

HillsBesideTheSea · 27/02/2018 19:08

So ds does this thing where he gets in from school and is in his onsie as quick as you can blink. He has just appeared in clothes and apparently we are going for a walk. there might be several inches of snow with more falling HmmGrinWink

HillsBesideTheSea · 27/02/2018 19:09

SC thank you for sparing my poor brain. Grin

If only I could swap data entry for painting skills we'd both be happy Hmm

Steamcloud · 27/02/2018 19:44

Indeed Hills Smile onwards and upwards onwards Wink. Enjoy the snowball fight!

Amazing list Goth and hats off for "good friend" duties. We do the removing phone thing (not so much recently but loads at one time) and it is transformative. Dh and I have now agreed a more uniform strategy as to what is acceptable/what is not, so hopeful that will make a difference too when he is here.

Good luck with stationery supply sorting Cag

Sorry you are still confined to barracks Foxes

We've finished supper and I'm about to tackle yet more laundry. Most count as most tedious day in history! Grin

Bowerbird5 · 27/02/2018 20:21

Done nothing,.
Into bed
Sleep!

Cagliostro · 27/02/2018 20:24

Just caught up on the thread. Can’t get over the idea of Mary Berry flirting with a Swedish chef, because I immediately think of this one.

Well I have not achieved much more as baby is so hungry. I will have to crack on tomorrow while DH is around. Not sure if they will go to gym, it’s very hard to get back from if snow affects buses. Thankfully tap was cancelled anyway today due to the snow, so I don’t have to feel guilty about deciding not to go anyway!

Bed wetting - is she having squash? DS had a random phase and it turned out it was because he had started drinking squash before bedtime, apparently it’s common with aspartame in drinks.

Meh, making memories, I did no FB post, I didn’t even set foot outside and was very glad the Caglets are old enough to go out on their own! Memories are made when you aren’t trying, or hashtagging.

HillsBesideTheSea · 27/02/2018 20:29

cag Grin That made me laugh.

Ds has been suitably exercised. It is fucking icy out there driving is not going to be fun tomo!

foxessocks · 27/02/2018 21:13

I think its bothering me more because dd hasn't been able to do much the last few days but she is pretty much fine in herself - just seems to have a fairly mild tummy bug so don't want to send her to nursery. And she's clearly more tired than usual so a bit grumpy. So we are just stuck indoors and the kids are getting bored. And she missed nursery school singing happy birthday to her, giving out her sweets, the snow today which I think if she'd felt better she'd have wanted to go out in it again with dh, and now I'm worried she won't be well in time for world book day and being pirate Pete!

I realise I sound ridiculously pfb...Grin I'm just also a bit premenstrual myself , tired, cabin fever, dh is grumpy...so all in all just oneof those days!

Sorry. Whinge over.

Dd is meant to have nursery tomorrow but need to see how she is tomorrow first. Won't know until the morning. I hate not knowing my plans!

foxessocks · 27/02/2018 21:16

Ds has also had explosive nappies so I have dealt with way too much poo the last two days!

It's strange because dd was sent home from nursery last week because of this, then she was absolutely fine for two days and then woke up yesterday poorly again. Confused she isn't eating loads of sugar or anything either as she is actually a bit off her food.

Steamcloud · 27/02/2018 21:34

Never apologise for whinging Foxes it is tough going with littlies sometimes Flowers. Roll on spring!

Cag bfing Cagletini esp during growth spurt is mahoosive achievement in itself! I always loved that particular Swedish chef btw Grin!

Safe travelling tomorrow Hills!

Waves to Bowerbird and to everyone else.

CotswoldStrife · 28/02/2018 00:26

I posted something on FB recently with a glam woman stirring a pan (what I think I look like in the kitchen) and the chef hurling stuff around (what I actually look like in the kitchen).

Waves to everyone. I just can't settle to anything this week, only 24 hours to go before we'll know about the school.

DD has agreed to wear the same costume as last year for World Book Day, so that's sorted at least.

Will do the links finish my worry-wine, just getting the bottle ready for tomorrow night and see you tomorrow. I should be out tomorrow morning unless the weather is bad - we are not predicted to have thick snow until Thursday.

Going to find some painkillers
And maybe something starchy to eat.

foxessocks · 28/02/2018 06:36

Morning everyone. Was zoo around yesterday I don't remember seeing her hope all is ok.

I've been up since before 6 as ds woke up for a drink and won't go back to sleep - he usually does go back to sleep or I wouldn't have bothered trying. He is crying but I'm going to give him 10 minutes and if he doesn't settle down I guess we are up for the day. I was hoping for for bit extra sleep tbh. Dd was up twice in the night for a poo and once for a drink. She doesn't seem to be getting better I think if no improvement by tomorrow I may take her to the doctors. Nursery is closed today because of snow so at least she isn't missing anything there today. Wondering if it will be open tmorrow for world book day...still haven't made the parrot!

Afreshcuppateaplease · 28/02/2018 07:05

Morning all

Sorry to hear about poorly dc foxes

Im not sure if zoo was on yesterday she has been much quieter lately

Good couple of inches of snow here. Not looking forward to pushing pram up hill.

Not stalking you honest zoo! Hope all ok.

Ta da
Breakfast - that's it!

Dh has come home from work already due to snow. But he seems to have come down with illness too Sad dd hasn't moved off the sofa and has barely said a word. Ds seems okay!

I have a feeling today isn't going to be much fun or productive at all...

Bowerbird5 · 28/02/2018 08:17

Morning everyone.
Well I was tired I went to sleep just after 8pm and slept right through till 4:30 am. A little snow covering. Snowing like mad at 5am and continued on and off and we now have a couple of inches. Nipped out to help push a car but by the time, dressed & I got downstairs they had gone. Made tea and hot cross buns and watched TV and the snow. Ooh struggling up our hill I just heard first car try. Going to watch the parents performance for primary school while doing sitting room tidy. Have done the window sill and put the hycinths there. I do every year. This year I was bought a zinc trough with roses at Xmas so have replaced them with two pots of blue hycinths so six out they look lovely.
Day off today so bet it is a snow day at school.
I have to go out at lunch time to speed awareness😛😝 booked afternoon appointment friend said,
"Mistake , you will be with boy racers, they will have just got up!"
My answer, "Ooooh ! I might know some of them😁 " thinking past pupils. She said only my face would light up at the thought!
I like catching up with the kids😄

To do.
So cleaning this morning. Sitting room, bedroom, dining room.
Notes for work covered this week and planning for next.
Need to make four felt caterpillars for game as went to use it and no caterpillars.😣
Need to get DH to go into loft for hat for tomorrow. Otherwise will have to think of something better but as I have app. can't be too outlandish.
Need to get more straw for chicken which means walking to farm as I won't get car up or down that hill safely. Slid fortnight ago😳

Took me a while to catch up on all the posts. Like the photo SC must check on the sheep ( neighbours) today. Could take photo but don't know how to load up. Might be a bit outing to where I live too.
Woolly jumpers felting: felt a bit more then you can cut them out and sew to make handbags, book covers, teapot hat, oven gloves. I look for them in charity shops.
SC basement. Buy Lakeland airer. We bought two tier as we thought three tier a bit wobbly. Great for drying flat you get a mess circle too.

Hope you all have a happy snow day and keep cosy sorry about no heating brrr! Thermal vests! Catch up later. Off to make mug of tea (3rd) and watch performance. City cars on country snow part one!

Bowerbird5 · 28/02/2018 08:19

Oh dear Foxes. Maybe put a good, long film on for them.

Bowerbird5 · 28/02/2018 09:27

Local school closed and so is ours. Continued snowing for last hour depth 8 cm outside 14 cm in garden just off to feed chicken her mash!

foxessocks · 28/02/2018 09:39

Like the sound of the caterpillar game bower my dd was surprised to learn caterpillars are real this week Grin she thought it was something made up on Ben and holly!

Ta da
Dishwasher on
Washing on
Rubbish out
Sides wiped
Quick tidy up
Did nail repair stuff - anti procrastination

Ds has been sick but seems fine in himself.dh seems okay. Dd has gone back to bed is looking very pale and tired Sad

We are meant to be going away this weekend but seems like snow and illness is conspiring against us! Keeping everything crossed.

To do
Detailed Hoover (when dd wakes up as don't want to disturb her)
15 minutes living room
Finish daily routine
Sort out photos ready to order photo book (can't believe I still haven't done this!!)

foxessocks · 28/02/2018 09:41

Going to give myself until 10 and then stop for a tea break.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 28/02/2018 10:18

School closed

House a tip

Where the stick?

HillsBesideTheSea · 28/02/2018 10:54

No idea.
I am off work today. I feel like crap. I am going to crash.
I should have known my heavy carb cravings was forewarning a massive migraine.
Weirdly it is not so much affecting vision, more muscles - thank fuck for super strong migraine meds I took last night. So bed and some gente low brightness internet pottering. Or sleep. Which ever happens.

Cagliostro · 28/02/2018 11:02

Oh foxes poor things :( that’s cute about the caterpillars. I used to think narwhals weren’t real, because the first time I heard of them (as a twenty something!) was in Futurama, who obviously have lots of made up creatures etc. Then a couple of years later I saw them on Frozen Planet and I was like WHAAAAT? 😳😂

I really really have to get on with stuff. Party supplies won’t pack themselves. Also need to figure out what to do WRT printing everything. Crap 😱😱😱

Afreshcuppateaplease · 28/02/2018 11:08

Wtf is a narwhal? Off to google ...
